I’m really disappointed to be writing this, as I’ve been a supporter of this shop for a while and I admire the causes it stands for. I visited recently with the intention of buying a birthday gift for my sister (as well as treating myself to something I’ve been eyeing) but we were completely ignored the moment we walked in. The store was empty, yet neither the owner nor the employee acknowledged us at all, even as we walked over to the counter clearly waiting to be helped.

It wasn’t until my friend directly asked how much an item cost that the shop owner responded, without so much as making eye contact. It felt incredibly dismissive. We were hoping to at least be greeted or offered assistance, but nothing. No “hello,” no “let us know if you need anything,” not even a goodbye when we walked out.

What stings most is that we wanted to support this business. We align with the shop’s values on social issues, and we’ve visited multiple times in the past. The first two times, the service was great. The third time, we were ignored, but we decided to give it another shot. Unfortunately, this last visit confirmed that poor treatment isn’t the exception, it’s becoming the norm.

I understand and support the concept of live sales and catering to your live audience. However, it’s important to prioritize in-person customers as well. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure that every first-time customer who enters your business becomes a returning customer and repeat buyer. Neglecting in-person customers in favor of the live viewers robs them of the experience and pushes you further from that objective.

It doesn’t take much to make someone feel welcome. A simple “hi there” or “thanks for stopping by” can go a long way. We’ve made the decision not to return, and I hope this review encourages the business to reflect on how every customer deserves to feel seen and valued, not just...

Pickaparty?! It really is a party! I have bought more things than I can count on my fingers and I’m ALWAYS satisfied. Carla and Graham always sell the most original and authentic items you can find! Confirming everything they sell is the real deal! My very first purchase was one a Sonny Angel fan could ever dream of! I stumbled across the pickaparty live stream on YouTube and was instantly attached from the voice and charisma Carla had. The “pasale pasale “ was the cherry on top and I knew I was where I needed to be. I had never had Sonny angels before but knew I wanted to buy some. I had asked how everything worked via stream and not only was Carla helpful and interactive, the whole community of pickaparty was helping the best they could have and I’m so entirely grateful for everyone. Knowing how much time Carla spent to help me and give an explanation on how the live stream store was , I was sold. Anyone who takes that much time per customer deserves a trophy and million bucks! She treats everyone with pure kindness even if they are rude to her. I ended up wanting two Sonny’s and I told Carla I really wanted a strawberry. She ended up drawing little strawberries on my bag and was wishing the best of luck for the strawberry . I heard “strawberry strawberry strawberry” so many times before she closed up my package . What do you know… I pulled a Strawberry hipper!! I was the happiest girl in the entire world!!! If that wasn’t a sign to go shop at pickaparty idk what is.
