This is the best comic book shop within a 20 mile radius hands down...They don't overcharge when a book gets hot. As a matter of fact even if a book heats up they still sell it for cover price (AMAZING). Every book regardless if it's a comic, TPB, or hardcover comes in a bag and board at no extra charge! They offer a pull list that comes with a discount at NO CHARGE unlike some comic shops that have an annual fee. They have a lot of cool merchandise. They have a back issue room where you can dig through a lot of long boxes and find your treasure at cover price!They offer a cool podcast room that you can rent by the hour. The shop is located in Uptown Whittier which is a very cool place. But most importantly they have a great staff, never rude, always friendly. This is my first year collecting comics, I decided to support local business instead of ordering my comics online. Sadly today I cancelled my pull list. The attendant Rene forgot a number of items on my list multiple times, to my count seven times and six times in a row. When I asked the first time he chalked it up to "human error" I gave him the benefit of the doubt but after having to get items off the rack 6 times in a row that should have been pulled I asked again "why" I got no apology, no explanation just the same "human error" excuse. Sorry bud that is called negligence. Sue the store owner is very friendly and approachable but unfortunately Rene's customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Place is pretty small but had a pretty good collection for the size. Not going to be a place to go if you're a collector of old comic books, but they have a nice assortment of modern comics, as well as merchandise from other things like TV shows (saw a Rick and Morty mug that I really wanted.) Also pretty interesting, they have a booth set up for anyone who wishes to record a podcast, complete with equipment, and they seem to have a great deal on letting people use it. I'm not a comic reader myself, but I'll definitely be back to take my little sister when she wants...
