Rocky Cola Café — Restaurant in Whittier

We came to have lunch here because of the reviews. Well here is our experience... My wife had the western burger and she said it was good. I ordered the beef dip sandwich and it was ok. The beef can use more flavor and the bread needs to be toasted so it could be nice and crunchy specially after you dip it in the au jus. So im eating my sandwich and suddenly my cherry coke is gone and I was need of a refill. Sooo I place our cups at the edge of the table and our waitress walks by multiple times sees our cups are empty but does not bother to ask if we need a refill. Mind you this has been quiet some time after we received our food and forgot about us. So 15 min. later I decide to get up walk to their counter with both empty cups in hand and ask for a refill. The Hispanic guy ask me if I need a refill and I said yes please. He brings us our refill and about 3 minutes later our waitress comes over and asked... are you guys ok, do you need anything? I told her yes, I was waiting for you to come over to get us some refills but it seems like you forgot about us! She says oh, I'm sorry but I dont do the drinks. I was stuck on stupid when she said that! I couldn't believe what she just said! So all this time you noticed our cups empty but did not bother to ask and have your "DRINK" person bring us a refill!? WOW!!! I didn't catch her name but it was the Hispanic looking waitress. Thanks to you, we will not be back again because I do not do...

Went there after church on Sunday. My wife ordered a cheese burger and I ordered the flaky cod fish & chips, which turned out not flaky and (based on my 25 years in food service likely not cod, but rather halibut or haddock) the fries and toast were limp the salad was dressing on lettuce only (and that was mostly the white core), the tarter sauce was, for some reason sweet, like sweet relish with mayo, which I didn't care for. I ordered a cherry coke, light ice, which DID have a maraschino cherry in it, but I couldn't taste the cherry syrup due to all the ice. Ok, I finished my drink, one of the 3 pieces of fish and 1/4 of the fries and left the rest. My wife must have felt sorry for me and gave me a piece of her burger meat, which, wouldn't you know, had a chunk of gristle in it. My friend waited an hour and 5 minutes to order, then had to wait 45 minutes for her plate of New York steak and it was cold. She had to ask them to warm it and had to wait another15 minutes to get it back. Then the manager told her to apologize to the preganant waitress for being disrespectful to her, the customer. Then, after asking to just pay her bill, they made her wait another 20 minutes for the bill. For all that hassle she never even got to speak to the actual real manager!
