Bamboo Pantry — Local services in Wichita Falls

My second time to come here and it was for an exchange from my first visit last week. I hate to leave low star reviews being a business owner myself, but when the service is terrible, I must express it. As an individual who was willing to pay their quadruple and inflated prices, they just lost a good customer over $4.79 because they would not simply allow me to exchange a bottle of fish sauce and pay the difference for a different brand. I took the item back unopened with the receipt, in its original plastic bag, all because my wife did not want to try that brand of sauce. Similar to the U.K. there was almost no selection on anything in this store, just two brands of every item and maybe three. However, the lady at the counter said there were some drips of moisture leaking out, but we could both see the bottle had not been opened, it had the tamper proofing still in place. (meaning they sold it to us unsealed, most likely unknowingly I'm sure). Nevertheless, the lady resulted to use the fallacy of false comparison and attempted to demonstrate that the other bottles were not doing that when laid on their side. So in this situation the customer was not taken care of over a reasonable request over $4.79. By the way this same bottle of sauce only cost $2.29 in California where that price is even expensive. Moreover, I get far better service from my favorite sarisari stores in Quezon City, Iloilo, Cebu, and Novaliches. After living in 11 different U.S. states and two other countries outside the U.S. I know good service when I see it, not only because I have a huge juxtaposition but because I am a business owner myself. I'm not upset, I'm not vindictive, I am honest yet disappointed and hopefully this local business...

I got it to find something close to the sauce from Samurai of Tokyo. AT Bamboo Pantry makes a sauce in a quart-like container for $10.🇺🇸 It does have MSG too. The store staff was friendly and helpful.🙂
