Arrr, let me tell ye a tale of a most dreadful experience at Academy! I be lookin' fer a fine piece o' iron and came across a shipload o' trouble. I stood in line, waitin' me turn to get a glimpse of a gun behind the glass, but they skipped me! Aye, right in front o' me eyes, they helped the two scallywags ahead o' me. When it was finally me turn, the cursed employee asks to see me ID. I looked over, and what do I see? The other lads weren’t asked fer their papers at all! I asked the matey why I be singled out, and he tells me it be store policy. Well, I’ve been to that place many times before, and never once was I asked fer me ID! I raised me voice and told him if it’s truly policy, then his crew ought to be informed, since they weren't askin' the others. He says the other fella was a "regular" and the employee knew him. I couldn’t shake the feelin' that it was me Mexican face that made 'em ask for me ID. It didn’t sit right, matey, not one bit. To make matters worse, the scoundrel gave me wrong information about the pistol! I told him it had a threaded barrel, but he argued like a fool, sayin' it didn’t, just because the barrel didn’t stick out o' the slide. I told him it should come with an adapter, and he swore it didn’t. But I’d done me homework, and I knew it did! I went back a few days later and bought the blasted thing, and aye, it did come with the adapter as I said. But after the way I was treated, the unfairness, the misinformation—it left me with a sour taste in me mouth. I’ll think long and hard before I be sailin' back to Academy anytime soon. They sent me an email back with this reply. ...So I guess if I would have made a good review, then they would have posted it???? Email is as followed... 3 for shipping and 5 for scope The scope is a great scope brand overall. I've own nikon and all the high end optics but this scope is the best for low light shooting. I gave it 3 stars only because Academy sports does not know how to ship optics. Ordered the first scope and it came in a 2'x2'x8" box with no packing at all. Complained and they sent me another one with very little packing with this one. Haven't sighted it in yet due to weather and work to see if the reticle jump or not. Our staff has read your review and values your contribution. However, it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing and we hope to publish next time............ I CAN SAY THIS. this isn't half of the story. I spent about 2-3 hours dealing with their "chat" line on the website that is purely worthless. I was supposed to have a supervisor call me back and of course that never happened....but one day out of the blue there was a box sitting in my driveway, with another poorly packed scope. I will NEVER have another scope shipped from them again...

Read moreFirst I want to start off by saying that I’m disappointed in the customer service here, I came in to purchase a trampoline walked around the whole store in a complete circle looking for the trampolines no one in site to help assist, so many workers behind the customer service desk just standing there when they could be walking around asking customers if they need help finding something. Eventually found the trampoline myself mind you this trampoline box weighs more than me nobody came over to help I get to the checkout and the cashier didn’t even ask if we needed help to get the trampoline in our vehicle I had to mention it to him I feel it’s common sense that I would need help. by that point I was already upset about nobody helping to put the box in the cart that thing was heavy I was so frustrated with the whole situation the man called for help nobody listened and we r just standing there people in line behind us mind u customer service desk at the front and all the workers just standing around behind the desk nobody was quick to come assist so I said you know what this is ridiculous we will do it our selves I don’t have time to wait on someone to come. He simply says okay have a nice day like he didn’t care at all. I was so mad I wanted to return the trampoline and go somewhere else but it was so hot outside I was ready to get out of there. Bad experience and I love this place but worst customer service...
