Today I decided to give QDOBA a try for lunch for the first time. When I eat out, I usually order curbside as it’s super convenient, the order is usually made while I’m still at work, I leave for a few minutes, pick it up and come back. Today, that was not the case with QDOBA.
I submitted my order and was told by the app when to show up. I did and called the number on the receipt as instructed by the app to let them know I was there. I was told that the order was being wrapped up and will be out to me very soon. I waited for 20 minutes before calling again, I’m told the same thing, almost done and will be out soon. 10 minutes after that, I head inside to see if it’s completed, it is and is sitting up on the pickup shelf.
Now, this next criticism may simply be me being spoiled by the various family owned Mexican restaurants, but the meal was kind of small for a $12 burrito considering that was only the entree. I am able to get a much larger meal for the same money elsewhere.
The burrito itself tasted fine but was lukewarm and somewhat soggy, seems that it was ready for a while.
I understand that I could have gone inside for my order from the start, but if curbside service is being offered, I believe that it is a reasonable expectation that the restaurant should be able to provide such service in a timely manner instead of letting the order sit. They could have even given an excuse and asked me to come inside which would’ve been fine, but instead I waited for the majority of my lunch break on the note of “it will be out soon” for expensive,...
Read moreI use to really love this place. About a year ago, I noticed a decline. So, I started only eating Qdoba when I traveled and that did work out good. Buy, last night, I joined a group out to eat out with. Qboda was the chosen place. I went with a great attitude ... yet got disappointed again. When we sit to eas, after about five minutes someone said, do these chops taste stale. Yes, they are and just bits and pieces which made it hard to "Dip". Since, I had a poor experience in past,,I just was not going to say anything. We all packed up and left.
This morning , I called to talk to Manager... just to let him know about the condition of the chips last night. It was to be a courtesy call... but he said Come back and I will give you more chips. I said No , because I thought he missed the point, . I was calling because the chips last night were stale ad broken in small pieces, I wanted chips last night when I ordered, when I ate my meal, but not chips today. Just letting you know so you can correction. He hung up. We'll, I wonderif I really talked to the Manager or not. I was not telling him probably easy he wanted to gear, but at least I was telling him unless he was unaware. But, not, I guess if I earmt Qdobe....it will only be...
Read moreHonestly. I really enjoy this place and I love eating here. But there has been a girl with blue/green hair who looks so bothered that she has to work. Shes very rude in her demeanor and she has no customer service at all. We waited in line of maybe 4 people and she was taking her time putting bowls up and slowly filling the rice she never even acknowledged the two ahead of us and when she did start taking their order she just asked "white or brown rice" in such dead monotone voice. By that point the line had grown to 10+. I saw two other people wearing black shirts i think they might be managers but both of them had one ear bud in and was saying "huh" while we were ordering. Obviously they just stood there and let the line grow. The one working the register was swipping on his phone while the girl was ignoring customers and looked upset. No one had name tags so I dont have names. The lady with blue/green hair just kills the positive atmosphere, she always looks like she hates her job and that we the customers are making her work. I really makes me not want...
