Black Friday Deals and Discount Store — Local services in Wichita

I arrived just after close one Wednesday (nbd, my mistake) and saw the big hairy guy (the manager?) smoking a freaking cigarette inside like it's the 70s again!!! (Gross right!?) Ok cool. Definitely looks bad to potential customers peeping in, but whatever. I look past it and return the following week with my kids. THERE'S NO AC (in july) AND I SWEAR THE CIG SMELL SINGED MY NOSE HAIRS. I'm dripping in sweat by the end of our adventure (only stayed 10min) and my older child needed their inhaler as soon as we got to the car. To make things worse, when we get home the wife asks why we "smell like Pleasures" We did find a few cool things, so I (again) look past all the bad stuff and I (again) return the following week for the 3rd and FINAL visit. This time with the wife so I can prove that I didn't take the kids to the strip joint and the store is actually that grimey! Well,... A whole WEEK later and there is still no AC (Idk, maybe can't afford to turn on or fix it?) and the cig smoke is still pungent (boss clearly smokes inside often)!! Then, while we're checking out we hear the big hairy boss guy tell his smallest employee to confront a shoplifter!?? This guy is probably 6'2" 250lb+ and he's telling a 16-18yr old girl that's barely 5' to confront a thief. Man up or hire loss prevention. You seriously have to do better as a BOSS and as a MAN The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the store does have some neat things. But besides that, the place is in complete disarray compared to other (better) bin stores. I mean NO organization. It was insanely hot inside and the cigarette smell lingering choked me up every time (like a tobacco hotbox). This store could be better, but it clearly lacks in the management department. And since there is no corporate number to call, I hope whoever is in charge sees this. Please consider this as my formal complaint. The evening manager (Big Hairy) is holding the place back. I'm not sure if he needs fired or needs training, but he definitely needs to stop smoking in the store after hours or at least out of sight of potential customers. But if Big Hairy is the owner, then he will surely sink his own ship in no...

At 1st this place was my drug of choice I was addicted to the fabulous prices and the pure surprise of the unknown boxes and treasures you could find. But as time went on boxes got smaller and everything had been open at some point before they sold it, things were being split up and sold separately, things thrown all over and trash makes it hard to find missing parts to whatever your trying to buy, also when you did find something you thought was a great deal you get it home an it's USED !LIKE DIRTY USED!!They don't bother taking that stuff out , just the good expensive stuff for themselves or to sale at regular cost somewhere else. OH AN THEN !!!!!! they raised the prices to over two Bucks on some items. NO THANK YOU I've found a new place to fill my addiction 😁 an it's got...

Best days to go are Fri-Tues...but as someone said, they did raise the prices a few days...plus the outside signage on the north side of the building still has the old, lower prices so it is misleading to an extent. The entrance which is on the west side of old kmart building has the current more expensive prices. Tried it on more expensive days and the cheap days. Great deal either way if you are lucky. Only loses a few stars for the girl at the 'customer service'/unboxing station was RUDE, air conditioning might not be working in the summer, trash everywhere, inconsistencies in signs/price. nice furniture for sale off to the side. Bring yourself some disinfectant, cash and at least half an hour to find something, dont be late they close...
