Went inside this location to get a 2lb family pack ordered it to go and sat at a table with my receipt, two customers in a row stood at the pick up window for Carry out orders they had placed and were honestly being rude to the employees. The lobby was not very busy with maybe 4 people Inside I sat and waited as they called out numbers past mine but I was understanding as mine was a larger order, per my receipt it shows I ordered at 4:50pm I sat for 30 minutes listening to employees joke around and carry on conversations after the 30 minutes I decided to go to the pick up window and ask about my order, i walked up then waited for two employees to finish the conversation before I was acknowledged, I then asked about my order as it has been a while, I told them the number they looked at each other then the screen and were confused until they looked behind them on a door dash shelf and the lady admitted oh I don't know why I put it up there so they placed the food on the counter apologized and asked if I wanted a free drink I said no I would just like to take my food So I can eat as I grabbed my order I had asked for one hot and one mild sauce the lady put two sauces in the bag, get home and of course find 2 mild sauces hot potato salad and cold BBQ, I do not disrespect employees in the food Industry as I have worked in the industry before and it will not help the situation at all. I guess I was just disappointed at the lack of management at this location and the lack of care from the employees, I was not looking for anything for free, I was hoping they would atleast offer to take the food and throw it out and make me fresh food so it would be warm but a 2$ drink makes up for a 60$ order...
Read moreThis Sunday, I was in town visiting my daughter. Previously I had a good experience eating here so I decided to introduce my husband to their BBQ. I ordered a salad with extra beef on top and the cashier who took my order had a hard time adding extra meat with the register. She then said, “no charge for the extra meat” and assured me that I would have 2 spoonfuls of meat instead of 1, on top of my salad. I was willing to pay her but thought this was a nice gesture. When the order was ready, I noticed a very small amount of meat on top of the salad and mentioned the extra meat. The girl that handed our food tray to us said, “no, that’s it! ( I have had the salad before and knew it was made differently ) She went to the cashier in the back to find out what transpired during the conversation. With her return she proceeded to talk in a scolding tone telling me, that she “wasn’t there when I ordered. She would give me more this time but I would be paying for it next time.” I was shocked…and embarrassed like I was asking for free food! When I requested the manager she told me SHE WAS the manager. I said to her I would gladly pay, rather than take a scolding. I asked for her bosses number which she refused me. In Summary: Manager had Very Rude attitude with no respect for the customer. Other staff were nice. Food was okay. This was at 47th...
Read moreDon't like that they put sauce on the meat and give you very little extra sauce. I think it's to hide from the fact that they generally don't smoke their meat long enough and it shows. Smoke flavoring from actual pit BBQ'ing is not always present, especially when you order the 'beef brisket' which isn't brisket at all, but more like a cheap chuck arm roast that was smoked for 30 minutes and then finished in the oven. Same thing applies to their Thanksgiving and Christmas Turkeys that they sell. Very little smoke flavoring and gamey taste. The last time I ate there, side dishes were pathetic. They pulled the curly fries out of the fryer way too early. I hate it when places do that. Nothing worse than soggy under-cooked fries. Shortcuts go nowhere with me. Shapen up for pete's sake. One more thing, don't order the 2 or 3 meat dinners because you don't get any more meat than in the 1 meat dinner but you still pay more money. All-in-all, crappy experience these days every time I go. I'm not coming back. Take-out is even worse than dine-in. I guess the simple people in this town are easily impressed and fooled, but Rib Crib is a much better BBQ joint than Hog Wild at least right now. This place used to be decent, though and has gone downhill in recent years. No...
