if you can live anywhere else but here, please do!
i moved here BEFORE post road management bought out the previous company and took over. this was my first apartment. back in 2021, the buildings were kept clean, it was quiet and i didn’t experience much issues other than a racist neighbor. after post road took over in 2022, we went through AT LEAST 4 property managers. the office was not consistent. the buildings are NASTY and the cleanings happens what seems like whenever they want. there was food, mud and throw up in my building for weeks, my guest even noticed it. i got accused of having a party every week on a different day. to the point where the signal 88 manager contacted me and let me know the racist old man below me was just calling because he could. i have ring camera footage of the security guards coming to my door and not even attempting anything due to the amount of false complaints. the property manager even accused me of playing loud music through text after i PROVED i hadn’t been home more than 20 minutes a day in 3 days due to a family member in the ICU dying! she still didn’t care, not even an apology. maintenance is not consistent. i did not have working air for almost three days, one of those days being my birthday in the summer of May 2024. my apartment reached 91 degrees internally before anyone came. i spent $70 on fans at walmart to keep my apartment cool enough for me to sleep because the emergency maintenance is terrible. I called 6 times from 6pm to 9pm and nobody called/texted or showed up until two days later, 9am. he called me by the way didn’t actually come until 2pm. my air stopped working two additional times after that and i had a portable air machine in my apartment for weeks until my neighbor across from me needed it. when i brought this to the attention in the office, i got told the emergency maintenance in fact DID read the text that was sent and chose not to respond. oh and a “im sorry that happened.” the air never worked the same after that, i had extra fans going at all times. i don’t even think we had stable maintenance for 4-6 months as we got “we’re hiring maintenance” emails once or twice a month. not to mention, your water will be turned off for “emergency maintenance” AT LEAST once a week for up to an hour or two. it comes to a point where you don’t even wanna be nice anymore, gotta talk to the property manager in person so they understand you! don’t let NOTHING here fool you it is not as it seems. you will have people laying/sleeping in the hallways and stairway near your home because the security doesn’t actually come inside they just drive through the parking lot. rent from me was paid on time, every-time. being a good, quiet tenant doesn’t get you anywhere with this kind of management and low down buildings. please move else where and don’t waste your money here. i sure wish i hadn’t and im...
Read moreI previously wrote a review about my negative experience living at these apartments, detailing how poor the management was when it came to ensuring my right to quiet enjoyment. I only took my review down when someone contacted me asking if I’d take it down. I relented until they offered me a one time 50 credit towards my rent and also said they would work on handling my issues. I accepted it in the hopes that things would get better, but they have only gotten worse. The only solution they offered me was that they would break my lease for no charge but as long as I move to a different one of their properties and pay another deposit and first month’s rent, or that I can break it for two months’ worth of rent. I asked if I could just break my lease for no charge and just move someone else because I’m unhappy with post-road management, and they decided. On top of all the things I said in my last review, there are many things that are making my stay here not enjoyable, such as the doors to my building’s laundry room always being propped open, making the code lock on the door useless, or the area around the dumpster constantly being covered in trash. There aren’t major things, but they do add to my frustration because I’m paying almost $ 800 for a one bedroom and the price really isn’t matching with the living standards here. I’ll also add my old review for more context. I really wanted to like living here, but this place has been nothing but problems since day one. First, I went a week and a half without hot water. Just when that got fixed, the entire building's water got shut off for a day and a half with zero warning. No discount, but at least they said “we’re sorry for the inconvenience”. The neighbors make it even harder. There's a woman downstairs who's set up a doorbell camera pointed at the sidewalk (why idk) and spends all day yelling at nobody. Upstairs, there's a kid with special needs who I genuinely feel bad for, but the constant stomping and crying at all hours is driving me crazy. When I begged management for help, they basically said: "Tough luck - pay us two months' rent to switch units, or keep calling security on your neighbors until they get evicted." That's not something I wanted to happen. I shouldn't have to choose between going broke or getting a family kicked out just because management won't do their job. Look, I'm not picky, I just want working water, some basic privacy, and to sleep through the night. Is that really too much to ask when you're paying over $ 800 for a 1 bedroom? Save yourself the headache and find somewhere that actually cares about...
Read moreBegan living here in late 2018 rent was $575 with water and trash included for a first floor 2br 1ba apartment. By my move out date in 05/24 it cost $740, with not a single utility included, and there was the addition of several "administrative fees" which made everything cost about $850 in total. In the years being there not a single thing was changed. Prices increased but there was no improvement to the apartment or the outside areas. The apartment flooded several times and each time they tried to avoid assisting with me with being displaced and gave me a measly $150 (originally $75.. I had to advocate for myself) amount towards 2.5 weeks of issues. They definitely prey on the fact that tenants have lives and are unable to play phone tag and argue all day for something just. If you live here expect for there to be a revolving door of property managers and maintenance. There was no continuity about how to manage so you got different answers from each property manager. I often had to explicitly ask the property manager to "email xyz person and get back with me about my question" but I always had to remember to follow up. You never knew who really worked there. There have been the occasional good staff members, but they often leave. Post Road Management in PA owns/manages this apartment and since then there were 0 improvements to the property, but everything that used to be free now included a fee. I was dinged for every little thing before moving out which came to total of $185.00. As a disclaimer I had 0 pets so there was no abnormal wear and tear. Some dings from furniture and blinds that were 5 years old were broken/torn which should count as normal wear and tear. They charged me and didn't even take it out of my $200 deposit... make it make sense.. They'll charge you for everything but ignore the trashed pool area and outdoor spots. If anything ever happened with the washer & dryer and you reached out to the property manager she would just tell us to reach out to the company ourselves... so as a property manager you can't help your tenants and advocate about an issue that is impacting more than one person? That never made sense.
Pros to living here: the neighborhood is nice. Cons to living here: everything aforementioned. Live here only if you have the time to make sure you're being charged correctly, have time to play phone tag and make sure things are correct and just, and are okay with a revolving door of staff members who have access to...
