I used to absolutely love this Starbucks (Harry & Rock, Wichita KS). My husband, myself, and my son used to go there every single day, without fail. They knew our names, our drinks, what my son was up to at school, etc. I'm not sure what has happened recently but for about 6 months or so, service is terrible, slow, and always incorrect.
I'm a pretty "go-with-the-flow person" but lately, everyday I have to send something back because it's not correct. When you are paying high prices, you expect to receive what you are paying for. They need to start repeating the order to ensure it is correct - even then, I would still verify because there are so many errors. We have decided to stop going to this Starbucks because we are wasting hard earned money and not getting what we paid for. (IE: Ordered a drink with caramel drizzle - received cinnamon (yuck!).... ordered an everything bagel - received a plain bagel, sometimes a multigrain bagel...but rarely what I actually ordered.
Again, I'm guilty of rolling my eyes at a review like this and thinking to myself, "First world problems!" but at the same time, if you are going to charge me $10 for a drink and a bagel daily, I expect it to be right at least one of the five...
Read moreThey are like a family joint. The kids behind the counter are extremely polite and make an effort to welcome you. If they are not too busy they actually come around to bring my order to my table. They also suggest new items, which is great. Love this place! Updated: I went back after several weeks (due to illness) and these guys actually yelled out to welcome me back (hey, where have you been?) and my wife actually said, “I believe they like you more than I do.”
Second update: I believe this place needs to be upgraded. Starbucks should purchase the properties next-door to expand this store. I believe many people do not, cannot, come in, and on busy days just drive off. I have been there on the days when I went to the second or third business down south, to ask for permission to park in their area before I could come in. And when that 18-wheeler delivery truck shows up, it blocks everyone in the parking lot until it leaves, it affectively kills the store business for that amount of time. However, I STILL highly recommend...
Read moreThis is the only Starbucks I can count on to make my drink correctly without having to ask them to remake it... Today I had a horrible experience one of the workers dropped the lid to the Carmel in my drink and then instead of throwing it away and remaking it he dumped the drink into another cup and stired it up and then proceeded to hand me the cup out the window. I was furious after he told me that he didn't and I watched him do it he eventually admitted to dropping the cap in my drink then proceeded to explain he never touched the cap with his hands! I worked at Panera bread for years and know u have to screw the cap on every time u refill the Carmel so someone if not several people touched that cap that fell in my drink... So after remaking my drink I they gave me a gift card and told me the manager wasn't there to speak with so I called and the manager was very polite! As was the man who made the drink this is still the only Starbucks I'll go to mistakes happen and they did what they had to do to...
