The gentleman was rude when I brought in my chaps and saddle, I should have walked out in that moment. Unfortunately , I did not, assuming he was just having a bad day. . A couple weeks later, they called and said the chaps were ready, and to bring my boots. They had already attached the strap in the wrong place, leaving a hole in new, custom chaps. I was told it "shouldn't be a big deal" and they were "not new." They only had 2 weeks of rides. He told me to just take my chaps and leave.    Read moreBruce has been a good friend of ours for about 35 years, and he has repaired, re-built, or advised me on saddles, boots, chaps, and many other leather items. His crew has even made a canvas cover for my dog's bed, which is still in use after over 15 years, and umpteen dogs. I still ride a saddle he built in 1983, and love it. I have not been able to find a boot repair shop in the area of Virginia where I am now living, so, Bruce, ol' buddy, I might be sending you my boots to re-sole for me! As we have visited the store many times in past years we were shocked how he was treating the people in his shop.
