The Vitamin Shoppe — Local services in Williamsburg

I’ve been a very long time loyal customer of The Vitamin Shoppe. Usually I have been very happy with the personnel at the Vitamin Shoppe in other locations. They’re caring, kind, knowledgeable, listen and not condescending. The associates always were personable as well as professional. I wish I could say the same about the blonde lady today at 6:45 pm. In my opinion, she came across to me as someone who felt she was imposed upon for even having to come up to the counter to wait on a customer. The other associates whom I’ve met before could really coach her on customer service skills. I’m going back to other Vitamin Shoppes even if it means go a few extra miles. This lady just drove away business from her store. Worst experience ever! I am a frequent shopper of Vitamin Shoppe and usually never leave a store without a significant purchase. I stopped in to this store because I was on vacation with my family and needed some items while away.

I was met at the door by a young lady who immediately asked if I needed help finding anything. I replied that I was ok and just looking. She continued to harass me about wanting to upsell me things in the store. When I explained that I just wanted to look for my items, she said, “ok, well I’m going to tell you about our sales anyway.”

I had to walk out instead of being harassed by somebody trying to upsell every sale item in the store. Sorry, I thought this was Vitamin Shoppe and not a used car lot. I guess I’m hitting up...

I have shopped with this company for 30 years. First store for me was in NYC. Since then whenever I’m in a new city/state I search for a vitamin shoppe. However, the Williamsburg, VA location is by far the best. Clean, bright and always well stocked. If they don’t have it they will get it. This store is my “Cheers” and I’m their “Norm” - it’s a place where everybody knows your (my) name. Heck, I stop by when I don’t even need anything. Whether you’re a health enthusiast, part time jock, marathoner, new to fitness, pro, and all levels in between Williamsburg, VA Vitamin Shoppe is the best barnone.
