So wife and I were on our way to Williamsburg off the Jamestown Ferry and spotted this place. Definitely peaked my interest. After playing pack mule for my wife carrying around all the bags and whatnot from her shopping day, I worked up an appetite. She suggested we stop at "that little place we saw off the ferry". Let's go Jamestown Pie Company is a small unassuming place, nothing overly exciting to look at but in my experience you never judge a book by it's cover. And with this place in particular, don't. You'll miss out on something truly amazing. Service was absolutely perfect. The gentleman was very friendly, knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to talk with. Our order today was an 18 inch pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage, meatball, bacon and red onions, and a slice of the blueberry peach pie (couldn't resist) The pizza was great. The crust was cooked perfectly, the toppings were deliciously hot and picture perfect. I mean look at the pic. (My wife snagged a slice before I could take it) But isn't that a good looking pizza? It was really hot so it was all hands on deck, two hands and fold. OMG what a flavor!! Everything balanced out so nicely. Just the right amount of crust, toppings and melty cheese. Not greasy or salty from the sausage, nothing over powered anything so the flavors were all represented. Very well done Now the blueberry peach pie was my thing as my wife is not fond of fruit pies. So this one was all mine. 1 bite and I was hooked. Not overtly sweet, definitely fresh ingredients, (no canned filling here) and the buttery, flakey, to die for crust was scrumptious to say the least. This was a slice of pie I could pick up with my hand and it would stay together. I know this because I did it. When the bottom crust of a fruit pie will allow you to lift off the plate and not fall apart, oh this is going to be good. The bite was substantial. Buttery crust combined with a slight tartness of blueberry and a hint of sweet peach. Man oh man, I'm in heaven. If you're a blueberry lover like me then you'll love this pie. So to summarize, great service, great food, it was a beautiful day so outdoor seating was enjoyable (no indoor seating) and a wonderful lunch all together. By the way, my wife and i had 1 slice of pizza each so we brought the rest home and my son devoured the rest of the pizza. So it fed 3 people. Grading as follows: Service: A+ Pizza: A Pie: A+ Overall visit score: A Great job Jamestown Pie Company. Keep it up. And if you find yourself in the Williamsburg Jamestown area, you owe it to yourself to stop by. I'll be back to try the pot pies. Enjoy!!!

Loved this place. A mandatory hole-in-wall food stop for locals, tourists, or anyone just passing through. Their motto is "Because Round Food is Good Food" (and it would make me round, if I lived closer, because I'd be eating there everyday). The Arno pizza was very good, but their Pot Pies are dynamite. We had the Au Gratin Pot Pie. The crust was amazing and the filling was super rich and creamy with shrimp, scallops, and crab. It's as if Homey comfort food met seafood delight. Another must have is their Chocolate Pecan Pie. It's like biting into a super-gooey chocolate chip cookie. SO GOOD! (The bumbleberry pie is also great; we recommend getting 3-4 smaller pies so you can try different kinds). Note: check out their website and call ahead, if you can. The pot pies take a little while to bake, so if you're in a rush you might need to plan accordingly. Also they don't have indoor seating (so if it's not a nice day, you may want to take it to-go anyway).

An absolutely amazing place. When you travel, you always look for that "just off the beaten-path place where you wouldn't expect to find amazing food, but you do" kind of restaurant. This is that place. The pizza was delicious - the dough was perfectly crisp and the crust was gone before I even had the chance to think about not eating it. The desserts were also delicious (I had one heck of a baklava), the prices are incredibly fair, and yet, the best part was actually the people who own this restaurant. Their friendly smiles were truly the highlight of my vacation - so much so that I felt compelled to commemorate our second visit with a group photo. When you go, you're part of the family. The food is made with love. It sounds cliché, but it tastes great.

First let me say when we pulled up I thought no way I wanted to eat there. HOLE IN THE WALL IF THERE EVER WAS ONE! It was recommend to us by an educator at the Jamestown settlement as I refuse to eat at a chain restaurant while traveling. I love the off the beaten path local stuff. Welp- She said it was a local institution and she was right. It’s about the size of a postage stamp and there’s no air conditioning- lucky you don’t eat inside. There are a couple picnic tables out front. It looks like it’s falling apart from the outside in. Happy red paint and signs and a door and that’s pretty much it. You walk into a sweltering ordering area and then it gets real! The most delicious beautiful pies EVER are piping hot sitting on racks to cool behind a glass window (don’t know how they can actually cool but whatever) and the people behind the counter are soooooo nice. I have no idea how they’ve not put in air conditioning or updated this place in 32 years or something but holy wow that’s some damn good pie. We ordered yummy cold sandwiches, a medium cheese pizza (no slices but the prices for a whole pizza are cheap) and a slice of apple pie and classic cheesecake. I was hot and tired from driving up from SC and then spending the day at Jamestown and was less than thrilled to sit outside to eat but I wasn't going to try to find somewhere else. Good thing cause I had a sweet conversation with the lady that’s been making pies there for over 20 years who’s so pretty and bubbly it’s hard to be cranky knowing she’s in the hottest place on earth busting out decadent pies for you. I make killer amazing pies and come from a long line of pretty great bakers so we loved to talk about our techniques and she was proud when I complemented that her pies were top notch! We went on Father’s Day and people were in and out picking up three to five pies at a time and just drooling and going on about how happy their men were going to be to open up those boxes for a special treat. Within 5 minutes of being there I could see why it’s an institution. The people and the freaking fantastic pies. The place itself could probably improve with a lit match and it hacks me off the owners don’t have air conditioning- hello it’s 2019 folks and the people that work for you are amazing! Take care of your PEOPLE! But I’d be 600 lbs and go here everyday if I lived close. Go and eat all the wonderful...

I am so sad that I have to write this review. My husband and I go to the Williamsburg farmers market yearly on our vacation. We LOVE to purchase local and support the small business community. We purchased a scrumptious looking pie from the Jamestown Pie Company from a very kind gentleman working the booth. It was wrapped in plastic wrap and in a box sitting on a table outside with numerous different flavors. We explained that we would not be going directly home and he shared that that was fine and we could leave it in our car (it was 98 degrees that day). We purchased it on a Saturday morning and went to eat it on a Monday evening and it was full of mold. We then tried to call the company to explain our situation twice and never received a call back. On our third try of calling, the store manager informed me that I should have known to refrigerate the pie ("anything fresh should always be refrigerated") She shared that she could not ship us a new pie NOR would she refund us the $20.00 even though we paid with a credit card. NOWHERE on the box does it say to refrigerate and the gentleman selling us the product never informed us of this important detail, even after we explicitly asked. We have made numerous pies ourselves and they have lasted at least 2 days prior to being eaten but NEVER had mold. The owner could be heard in the background becoming quite irate. Such a sad situation. We will NOT be purchasing from this company on our next trip. All my family wanted truly was a pie that looked delicious when we purchased it. Such a shame!!!! Buyer beware...REFRIGERATE THESE PIES UPON PURCHASE!!! Too bad the company doesn't realize that this label should be...
