Ordinarily, this place is stellar: courteous, friendly, helpful employees; great service, just a joy to visit.
On Oct 19, 2023, around 430pm, we used the app like always to place the orders. When we pulled up to the speaker, instead of the usual cheery greeting ("Welcome to Starbucks! What can I get started for you today?" or other such pleasantry), we were greeted with a very flat, "Can I help you?"
I told her we were here for a pickup, and she replied, "Pull around." This is the rhetoric I expect to encounter at the burger joint with the dancing clown, not Starbucks.
When we pulled to the window, we were met with the unsmiling countenance of a blonde girl wearing a tie-dyed pastel sweatshirt (no name tag) and makeup with sparklies in it who merely held out the drink. When I took it, she instantly withdrew as I tried to ask about the other drink. Apparently, she was helping the person at the speaker as it took her a while to get back to me. When she stuck her head out the window again, she asked what I said. I told her that we had another drink and she handed us a couple of straws and napkins.
"I know," she said and walked away. A few minutes later, she came back and held out the second drink for me to take.
"Thank you," she said, again in a flat voice.

However, I ended up waiting until 1:20 to receive my drinks, and only after I asked the supervisor, Leo, about my order. He made the drinks for me then, but it seems the tickets for my two standard, off-the-menu drinks got overlooked. Meanwhile, several people who arrived after me had already received their orders and left. I'm really disappointed with the experience—ordering through the app here was frustrating and far from smooth.
Old Review: The Starbucks at this location is undoubtedly a bustling hub, with a steady flow of customers. To dodge the crowd, I prefer ordering through the mobile app, ensuring my order is ready when I arrive. Remarkably, they consistently meet the app's promised time, even during busy periods.
The drinks, without fail, are crafted to perfection. Despite the potential wait due to the crowd, the quality remains uncompromised, making it worth the time.

Read moreToday I went to Starbucks and was highly unsatisfied with the service I received. I frequently go to the Monticello location at least 5 times a week. I order the same thing every time I go. A caramel Frappuccino with extra caramel drizzle. I pay extra for my drizzle. The lady at the front handed me the drink and I noticed there was very little drizzle. So I asked that it be added. Seeing how I paid for it. According to my cup this was at 5:41:15 PM. She brings me the same Frappuccino. No caramel added. Ask me how I know!? Well the whipping cream was melted at the top. I also added caramel crunchy and they were even melting on top. Had they added the caramel I would’ve had a new cup, with more caramel and everything wouldn’t have been melted. I’m highly disappointed. Especially when I come there 5 days a week. I’ve noticed the service has gotten bad. Bring back the girl Amy and the brown haired girl that always wears the white and black striped shirt. The employees that know your name by heart and take pride in their job.
