Always an issue! First time we tried to eat here it took over 30 minutes to get our food after we paid because our order somehow got lost in the process. Second time we placed an order online. I got a confirmation that they recieved it and then another saying it was being prepared. Paid online. We waited the 20 minutes to pick it up and walked in only to fi d out their printer wouldn't print the order we put in and paid for and WAITED for and we would have to write down what we ordered and wait again... Why not call us? I put my correct phone number in my order. Or dont offer online ordering, but at the VERY LEAST CALL! Why did the thing notify me that the store saw it and again when they began "preparing" it?
We finally get our food after writing down everything we already ordered and we were given the SMALLEST pepperoni pizza sub I have ever seen, seriously WAWA subs put this thing to shame, a SLOPPILY THROWN TOGETHER turkey sub that was WRONG, a salad NO ONE ORDERED that was close to the sandwich I ordered but had stuff I did not want like bacon, egg, and blue cheese, and was missing BREAD AND MAYONNAISE like I wrote down for them. So after ordering online, paying, waiting, going in to find out the order wouldn't print so we would have to write down everything we ordered, WE DID and not only was it wrong, it was COMPLETELY not what I WROTE DOWN FOR THEM. How hard can it be to follow what I wrote? This twenty minute wait turned into OVER AN HOUR FOR A SUBPAR SANDWICH. I cant even believe the complete incompetence and blatant lack of care of concern I experienced here today. They didn't even offer a discount. They said I could grab a bag of chips? I am insulted and can not believe they didn't even try to make this massive screw up even a little right! And after how inconsiderate the staff was about this situation, the ridiculously long wait for SANDWICHES on both experiences, the errors no one seemed to care about, in fact they cared more that I was walking BACK IN AGAIN jusg judged to get the food I bought already, and complete disregard for our time and money I will take my business elsewhere from now on and advise others to do the same. I will NEVER stop foot in this place again. Its insulting to say...
Read moreWife insisted on driving 30 minutes from Newport News for me to eat here, so here's my review. The cashier seemed a bit nervous, might have been new, (I hold NO shame here) but rather friendly and polite. According to the receipt he was server WW416.
The price seemed a bit high for a sub shop. $51.33 for a super sub + large sub + fries + chips + 2 large drinks (though I did get the fun "souvenir" cups). Added on the standard 15% To Insure Prompt Service 🤷 which apparently means nothing now days but I digress.
Now begins the wait 😴😴 with 4 sandwiches made ahead of mine. I got my fries 21 minutes after ordering (they were good, especially since they were simple salted crinkle fries) to which an employee asked if I was still waiting for my sandwich. Wife received her sandwich (Large double Turkey and cheese) 3 minutes later and I finally received my sandwich (Super Wicked) 4 minutes after that. So a lovely 28 minutes for 2 sandwich combos... 🤔
Bare minimum communication with the staff regarding anything aside from just placing my order. What was I expecting...not sure really, just hungry and waiting.
Now for the food... 🥁🥁🥁 Wife says hers was good 🤦 I think I spoiled her with my homemade bread the past 2 weeks. Mine on the other hand... Really good! Both had a hint of sourdough aroma (REALLY hope it's supposed to!) which was a nice twist. The meat combination was amazing combined with 3 cheese 👌 and the special Mt Dew flavor (Vibe) OMG that's good!
Overall, I'd like to enjoy another but can't seem to justify driving 30 minutes to spend $50 on 2 sub meals when I have closer options near me. Sorry, but it is just my opinion. If Which Wich was closer.... I'd still have a hard time spending $50 for 2 meals and waiting half an hour.
Thanks for the meal, experience, and taste, but sadly I can only recommend to try it, not to keep coming back.
And love the twist to ordering. Pick a bag, mark want you want, hand it in to order. If my little one was with us, he would love to draw on a bag and post it on their community wall. Very cool for kids way to entertain the kids...
Read moreA fun sandwich shop that uses the fast casual, assembly line style. The service was fine and everyone there served with a smile and was attentive to question.
I got a Buffalo Chicken and Bleu, I thought it would be Buffalo Chicken with Blue Cheese, but it seems I have no clue what am doing.
So you pick to the large menu that takes bit of time to think about, then I choose buffalo chicken + bleu, I assume its that quality buffalo chicken with some bleu cheese, so then there is an option for buffalo sauce and blue cheese and am like well if the chicken is buffalo flavored then why I need the sauce, adding more for no reason? Then same with the bleu, so I have to make my choices again? Am confused... I try to ask, but I didn't convey myself well.
So I got the sub and it tasted like deli chicken with cheese. Then why is it called buffalo and bleu, if it isnt on it automatically?
Its tasted good for what it was, warm bread, good amount of deli meat. Its a good sandwich overall. It basically tasted like Subway and Wawa merged together. Maybe am just too old for this style...
