Dear Staples Customer Service, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint about my recent experience at your Williston, VT location. I went to this Staples intending to return an Amazon package via UPS. There is a large sign on the entrance door that clearly states that the store accepts both UPS and USPS returns for Amazon. However, when I asked about it, I was abruptly told that Amazon returns are not accepted there. The employee who spoke to me â an older man with a beard, who appeared to be training a new associate â was extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of clarifying the policy in a respectful manner, he impatiently remarked that âif I had paid attention, I would have seen the signâ stating otherwise. The tone and attitude were unprofessional and discourteous, and it was troubling to see that this was the example being set for a new employee. In todayâs era of internet shopping and package returns, clear communication and respectful customer service are essential. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling alienated as a customer. The misleading signage compounded by the unacceptable attitude of the employee has made me reluctant to return to this location. I strongly encourage Staples to: Ensure that signage is accurate and not misleading about Amazon return services. Reinforce customer service training, especially for employees who are responsible for training others. I hope that this feedback is taken seriously and acted upon, as no customer should be made to feel dismissed or disrespected when simply trying to use...
Read moreI rarely ever go to this Staples, but I needed something very simple like highlighters. I had no idea the store closed at 7. When I pulled up, I saw someone walk in, so I figured they were still open. By the time I got to the door it was exactly 7, and there were multiple people behind me also trying to get in. I honestly thought there was an issue with the door. When someone came out of the exit, I walked in that way.
At that point, what I believe was the store manager (dressed in a nice shirt) started yelling at us that the store was closed. I donât think that was professional at all, especially with several customers standing there confused. Needless to say, I left and went somewhere else for my business, and I wonât be...
Read moreI went in to buy printer paper and they had a giant display saying "50% off after Rebate". I guess I should have asked about the rebate process, but I never thought it would be as tedious as it is. Despite being a Staples Rewards Member, getting e-mails weekly, and buying on line regularly, I had to mail in the rebate with proof of purchase to El Paso, Texas. The funniest part is "We may notify you by e-mail the status of your submission"! Clearly they could allow people to e-mail the stupid rebate. Plus they are going to give the rebate on a prepaid gift card, which are a pain. I bought way more paper than I need and I'm doing the rebate out of principal, but I will never buy anything from Staples...
