Dismal food. Horrendous "service".
This was our first experience with Firehouse Subs. We ordered 2 large Thanksgiving subs, touted by their menu as "Carved slices of tender turkey breast, savory Thanksgiving stuffing, sweet & tart cranberry sauce, and mayo served on a toasted sub roll." This was a take-out order. Imagine our surprise when we got home and found that the "carved slices of tender turkey breast" were replaced by 4 small ultra-thin slices of deli ham. That's right, four puny slices on a large sub roll. And that's right, ham! We do not eat red meat or pork. There was a dearth of stuffing. It was dry. And clumpy. And gray. I've included a photo of this culinary masterpiece below.
I returned to the store and the first employee I spoke with explained that the sandwich was actually made correctly ... he said the franchise owner mandated such a meat substitution because carved turkey is "too expensive". What? This is twilight zone stuff.
I next spoke with the on-premises associate manager, who insisted there was nothing wrong with the sandwiches ("these look fine, what's your problem?") and, after claiming to make a back-room phone call, refused to provide a refund. He was rude and arrogant, berating me in what felt like a rehearsed take-down. He was clearly agitated by my unwelcomed presence in his store. He had no clue that the customer is always right, ESPECIALLY WHEN in this case, the customer was right.
I contacted corporate and the associate manager by email. Both responded with little more than lip service. The local manager offered a refund (no doubt after hearing from corporate), but asserted he couldn't credit my card, and could only reimburse with cash. I'd wasted enough time on this disastrous dining experience, so suggested what was convenient for me ... a PayPal or Zelle payment. Never heard from him again.
Avoid this sad, con job of an establishment. And if you can't, make sure you check your order before you walk...
Read more0 stars because I technically didn't have the food. Arrived around 6:30 pm and two people were sitting outside so I figured there might have been a line? Nope. Lights were on, toaster running, open sign lit, but nobody in the store, no other customers or staff. I figured they were just prepping. Waited for 5 minutes. "Hello?...hellooooooo?" Nothing. As a hungry person does, I left to go somewhere else. Upon leaving, I wondered about the two people sitting there - turns out the sole employee wanted to take a break with his girlfriend sitting on the concrete next to the front door. I laughed and got in my car to go to Jersey Mike's.
Whoever owns this place, as has been made abundantly clear from most other comments here, you gotta figure out your employee situation or you're not gonna last long. It's been what, 4 months since you opened and these problems still haven't been sorted? It's almost like you don't want the store to generate income.
To the employee who didn't come inside to take my order, I don't blame you at all. I'd do the EXACT same thing if my boss was that easy on me. Only difference is I'd have brought her out back to a more intimate spot like the prep kitchen instead of sitting out front in the company apparel. The problem though is at some point, you're gonna need to learn the value of hard work and how difficult the real world is. It's a lot harder than saying, "Hey babe, sit tight, I'll brb, gotta make a sandwich real quick". If that was the case, we'd probably be talking about 4-5 stars and a commendation to you for telling your lady to hold on a minute while you put in work. I hope you're able to turn it around and wish you nothing...

Andy, the General Manager and his awesome crew were eager and ready to satisfy our appetites and they didn’t disappoint. Make sure visit the establishment, you wont be sorry and you most definitely will walk away completely and totally satisfied. These time may change in the future as they get more established in this location. These open times are current as...
