Purchased the PSC-700 kit about 18 months ago from my Napa supplier. I use the maintainer while programming vehicles. The unit stopped working. Called my Napa supplier and they called Midtronics. Said it only had a 1 year warranty and if I would like a rebuilt unit it would cost me 300 dollars. A new one is 700 dollars. I feel the unit should have been warranted. I have a PSC 550 unit for 15 years and still works. These maintainers are designed to maintain battery voltages for extended time periods(like in days to weeks to months). I figured the total unit time used for programming vehicle was around 24 hours.
I personally would not purchase a product from this company again. I have switched to IOTA where the cost is one third and I figured if it goes out in a year and a half I would buy another one. They are more affordable enough and I am willing to take the chance.
