I do not like giving bad reviews however I am extremely disappointed with the way today went. I will admit when I walk in the doors I thought to myself WOW this place looks amazing like something out of a movie I was greeted and treated extremely nice. My personal experience with Mia was great. I was there with my cousin who is getting Married in August and of course we are trying to do as many hair trails as possible before we decide on who will be doing our hair for her special day. Please keep in mind this was NOT a free trail we paid $65 per and each still left a $10 tip putting us at $150 total. Her hair stylist didnât even look comfortable doing her hair you could tell this was probably not his forte. When she was all done she asked my opinion and I gave her my honest feed back. The updo looked very messy and the front did NOT look right. It was not wedding quality. The hair dresser got very defensive/offended and tried to defend his work which I completely understand. I was not trying to be offensive I was simply being honest. He even went as far as telling me at one point he wasnât talking to me he was talking to the bride to be. When he started to redo it. The women who originally greeted us. Walked over and said her time was up. That if we wanted a redo we had to come again at a different time because his next appointment was there. She didnât even offer to have someone else fix it. So when I asked her did she(my cousin the bride) have to pay when she came back for the redo she said yes. Are you kidding me?????? I asked for a "blowout with big bouncy curls" and received the flattest - though very sleek - blow dry of my life. It was my expectation based on other dry bar experiences and from looking at the salon's Instagram that my appointment would include a curled style, but after drying with a round brush was told "I'll add some curls since we have time left" which left me feeling like had we gone over or been closer to the appointment limit, I would have been sent off with just the round brush blow dry. It was my first time at your salon so maybe this is the standard that you offer and I was just unaware of the expectations. Additionally I did not feel particularly welcome. I mentioned my stylist never introduced herself, nor did she ask if I had been there before or if I'd even received a blowout before. The receptionist or stylist who checked me in did ask if I'd like water but then brushed me off by saying my stylist was not yet there. The women who came in after me were given a much warmer welcome, shown around the salon, offered a different sitting area, and offered water and snacks.    Read moreMy daughter and I have been going to this blow dry bar weekly pretty consistently for a few years. We had a stylist there who was absolutely fantastic. She always listened to our requests, was timely and efficient. A few months ago she stopped working at Blo. We loved going there, so we continued to try and keep going weekly. Anytime I tried to make consistent appointments with a specific stylist, it was impossible to get two appointments at the same time with the same people. Regardless of that, we continued to go, but the end results were never as good. The last time we were there, my daughter and I were on time for our simultaneous appointments. Her hair started to be done and all seemed fine, but my stylist was delayed. Turns out, she ended up spending an additional 35 minutes with the client before me! When she was done, I let her know that I was pressed for time, which is why we booked simultaneous appointments. She persuaded me to stay, saying she could do my hair in 20 minutes, using 2 blow dryers. It was a valiant attempt, but the end result did not live up to expectations. To top it off, I was still charged the full price for a subpar result, and we were late for the following appointments we had. This incident was the final straw.
