On August 7, 2019 my family and I visited the Chick-Fil-A location on our way to Myrtle Beach, SC for vacation. We parked to the rear of the property near the catering vehicles and ate inside for approximately 30 minutes. When we came outside we found approximately 50-100 orange like flowering buds had fallen on the hood/top of my new diesel Ford F-150. I was not concerned as I believed these buds would just blow off once we got back onto I-95.
Once on I-95 I discovered the buds were not blowing off and figured I would wash them off once I got to Myrtle Beach. I did take the truck to the carwash and after spending nearly $15 discovered the clearcoat on the hood/top/front of my truck had actually been stained all over by the buds. No matter how hard I rubbed on the orange/brown marks they would not come off. There wasn't a residue on the surface of the clearcoat which really concerned me as I thought the clearcoat was ruined. I read online that the buds could actually etch/damage the clearcoat if left on. I could not let this happen to my new truck that I work so hard for and am very particular about.
On August 9, 2019 at approximately 1201 hours, I went to Walmart in Myrtle Beach and purchased Mother's Cleaner Wax, microfiber towels and applicators pads ($26.90). I then spent the next nearly 7 hours tediously and forcefully having to polish out the stains on my $67,000 truck. This was all while my family was enjoying themselves on the beach! I was able to get approximately 90% of the stains out, however, I would need to have the truck buffed/detailed in order to completely remove all the stains and restore the paint to its new condition as it was before visiting the location.
I understand this is not a direct fault of any one person, however, these trees are at the location. I have been greatly harmed and inconvenienced on my family vacation after simply trying to get a bite to eat. My family eats at Chick-Fil-A numerous times a month, love the food/friendly service and are red status members.
I respectfully requested compensation for the supplies I purchased, the cost of the carwash and for the cost to have the truck buffed/detailed in order to restore the paint to its prior new condition. The amount I asked for compensation was only $300, where the franchise owner submitted the claim to insurance which was ultimately denied after weeks of going back and forth. I am very disappointed on how this was handled, felt the franchise owner should have made this right and now will not return to this location.
I want to take a moment to point out the positives of our visit. The location was very clean, the staff was very friendly and the service was...
Read moreAmazing, always. I usually get the largest nugget box they have and no matter if I order online for pickup, or use the drive thru, the service is fast friendly and exemplary overall. The charisma, enthusiasm and respect of the staff at this location is better than what I've received at every fine dining establishment in the surrounding 3 counties. Every time I visit, no matter how long, hard or stressful my day was, I ALWAYS leave happy, smiling and in a great mood. More restaurants need to model their customer service based on the same values and expectations as Chick-fil-A. ...I'll go on, for example: the second to last time I visited this location, I used the drive thru at night. I had already placed my order and the staff member that brought my food out walked 2 to 3 car distances back into a somewhat dim lit area, where I was waiting in a tall vehicle with my window half up, and with a keen eye, this staff member recognized that I was wearing BDUs and Promptly thanked ME for my service. This nearly brought me to tears with happiness because I was completely taken by surprise. That moment was the first time I had ever personally been thanked for my service in a drive thru line. And this is Wilson, so I was not expecting that. I wish I knew the employee's name so I could give some kind of positive feedback. But I return often, so I am sure I will have a chance to see this employee again and give my thanks and appreciation for the respect of a complete stranger many years younger than me. Young people today don't have the same mannerisms and respect as they did in my time. So I was incredibly impressed with this particular employee at...
Read moreTeam lead Belinda was a rock star on Wednesday. I arrived that morning to place a huge catering order for the Wilson County Schools Exceptional Children Department.
Mrs. Belinda took the time to make sure that everything was entered despite the rush hour for lunch beginning to start.
I am greatly appreciative for her demeanor, patience & kind words as we got this huge order put in.
I was also at the same location last month picking up a huge order of gift cards for students at one of our high schools. On this occasion I arrived about 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the dinner rush hour. Both team members that assisted me were helpful & did a great job.
I can't remember the cashier's name, but her & manager Liesha were both amazing as they scanned, receipted & put each one in a card holder.
Day 1 of my huge catering order I went in around 3 PM to make some corrections & add-ons for the rest of the week. Managers Anna & Liesha were there to assist. I appreciate them taking the time to get me squared away.
By Day 4.......yes there were some hiccups, but owner Christy Proctor was notified of the concerns. Manager Belinda & all the other managers involved were great with making sure that our daily orders were processed.
A huge thanks to the kitchen staff! Teacher appreciation week added another layer to your already...
