I received a check for 5000 dollars from prudential insurance after my mother passed. My bank bct wanted to hold it for 9 business days but i unfortunately couldn't wait sobi made the biggest mistake even coming here. To start wells fargo is the bank who issued this check but you would have thought it came from another planet!!.the teller was trying to verify it over 1 hour with the help ( or hindrance of a man on the phone with her). Not only didn't they cash it but they wouldn't even give it back!!. It took me calling prudential and them telling them to return it to me for them to do so. But the problem was they stamped it on the back and had my thumb print on the front so needless to say it's useless now. I waited over 1 month for that check now i need to wait god knows how long more because of people who don't care about anyone. I don't fault the teller at all she was very kind and i could tell she knew this was very wrong. Im going to contact a lawyer if i find out the check was cashed by them and they have my money. They told me prudential put a stop on it( total bs because i was on the phone with them while this happened). So. I really hope they don't have my money because i will drop a hell of a lawsuit. Sadly I can't move my business elsewhere perhaps I should get rid of my house!! But if you have choices I suggest you reconsider all other options! Perhaps a different branch or a different bank!! Read moreI was traveling from SC to CT and needed to stop at a random Wells Fargo because of a hold on my account and I needed to verify who I was. I picked this WF because it is right off 81. I stopped into a branch that had the most helpful and friendly people working there. The verification took a long time because the phone customer service person did not document my conversation with her or the fact that she verified the check on hold. Gladys and Nicole took care of me and my needs like I was their regular customer and they have known me for years. You dont see much kindness in customer service especially in banking.
