Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Virginia

We love to take the family there for dinner and have a shake for desert they have so many different combos you can use from. I just wish they would keep the cake batter shake and even the brownie shake around longer. I also wish they could make a sonic in front royal or close to we have to drive 40 mins to just take the kids to get their chilli cheese frys they love so much and the shakes they beg us to take them to get. Front royal has plenty of space in this town to build a sonic down here or even up rt 522. There's only one sonic in winchester they took out the one on rt 50 to make another chicken place. Front royal doesn't need more banks or 711s in this town. Make some thing where the kids can enjoy going for good food and awesome milk shakes (kinda like tasty freeze before all these other high end restaurants took over. I'm only 35 and I remember my dad and mom taking me to tasty freeze for ice cream. And good food this could be the next tasty freeze but all the 711s and banks want to take over the town. You should do what makes people happy not what you think people want. Thank you for listening to my opinion I know not everyone will agree and that's their opinion. Just remember the smiles on all those kids faces when they get a milk shake from sonic full of tons of different candy pieces and how happy they would be. We need a sonic in front royal or closer then winchester not everyone has the means to drive that far....

Only gave "1" star because "0" is not an option. This location has taken a drastic nosedive. The service and food quality had been declining, but now it is atrocious. When it was $.50 cone day, they couldn't figure out how to ring up the promotion, so instead they discounted them somehow. The discount however, resulted in the cones being $.59 instead of the $.50 they were supposed to be. But, as long as it took for them to figure out how to even do that I figure it wasn't worth the fight for $.18. 2 different nights in the past couple of weeks we have tried to order from a car stall only to be told when we tried to order, that they are only taking orders through the drive-thru more that 2 hours before they close (the first time was during the 2-5 happy hour). The last time we were there, we ordered slushies. When they handed them to us, there was no slush about it; literally colored water. Conveniently tonight when we tried to order blast, since they were half off, we were told that they were not able to make blast at this time. We are done patronizing this location. If you want similar food, go to the Checkers on the other side of the interstate. Or, if you want cool treats, do yourself a favor and go to...

I've been a Sonic fan ever since my wife introduced me to it, but my recent visit to this location left me utterly disappointed. The excitement I usually associate with Sonic was overshadowed by the subpar service and a rather unpleasant experience.

Firstly, the hot dog I ordered was delivered in a manner that was far from appetizing. The pictures I've attached speak for themselves. It's disheartening to witness such a lapse in presentation and service from a place that I have come to enjoy.

Despite wanting to give the benefit of the doubt, attributing the issues to the restaurant's apparent busyness, I can't help but question why they have a drive-thru if they lack the staff to efficiently manage orders. The joy of the drive-thru experience is lost when it results in a poorly executed meal.

It's evident that the shortage of staff has led to mistakes in meal preparation, and this directly impacted my overall satisfaction. Sadly, this experience has left a lasting impression, and I have decided not to return to this particular Sonic location. It's disappointing when a favorite spot fails to live up to expectations, and I hope my feedback encourages improvements at this...
