Stay away from this store. I bought a phone and a couple of days later I told them that it did not work. They told me that they could not replace it. I am actually am out a couple of hundred dollars and have no phone. The saddest part is the Manager and the Staff really could not care! They are getting paid regardless of what happens. After a worker seen that my phone was not charging and clearly saw there was an issue with the phone told me there was nothing they could do after he had me wait @ 45 minutes because this was obviously a manufacturer defect and it had to get fixed at the Apple Store because it was an Apple phone. There was nothing that could be done. Prior to us leaving my husband warned them if Apple does not fix the phone we will be leaving this company. Drove all the way to the Apple Store and they told us that is an AT&T problem and they do not handle this. They should have just given you a different phone, especially since it is prior to 15 days. We went back to the store and the Manager basically said we were lying because the worker that told us this works at Apple and they do it all the time. The only way Apple would do it is if I paid them to do it. The reason being I did not buy the phone off of Apple. The Manager also said that I walked out the door with a phone that was working. That is another untruth. The Manager and/or I did not check the phone to see that it was working. I told her the speaker on the phone was not working. She did not check any of the phone prior to selling it to me. The Manager also said that she could not give us a transfer code. We had to get it over the phone. When we went to another phone store the salesman told us that customers all the time walk into the AT&T store and get a transfer code and then come back into his store. We are no longer AT& T customers. We have been AT&T customers for many years and have never been treated so badly. I cannot speak for all AT& T stores. The one is Wind Gap, PA is useless. Because my husband is a business customer, AT&T wanted to know why we are leaving when my husband told them all that had happened they too confirmed that it is not AT&T Policy to be like this. They should of just given me a different phone being it was less than 15 days. Lesson learned. I hope this review saves someone from going through what we went through. Find another AT&T store. Stay away from Wind Gap AT&T store. The staff want to get paid to do the least as possible for their customers. When you walk in the store they are all looking at their cell phones. That alone should tell you what kind of...
Read more2024 Review: It's a real shame Google only let's you have one review, because this place deserves a second 1 star review. This time, my mom IS on the account and her phone died. She was given a new phone from a friend, and went to the store to get help switching. They refused to help her, this time because she didn't buy the phone from ATT. We've been with ATT twenty years, helping to transfer to a new phone is literally the least they can do. Idk why I expected them to get any better at this store, meanwhile, while she was being turned away, we upgraded two phones and had a great experience at the Airport Road, Allentown location. ATT customer service has been contacted, and they said this should not have happened and apologized. Some things never change I guess. Never again.
2020 review: Terrible customer service. Called today to get a SIM card. My mom's phone broke completely and she has the wrong size to switch to the phone my sister kindly gave her. Wanted to charge me for a SIM card and would not let my mom pick it up. I am out of town. Curbside pickup is being done and they still would not do it. I thought ATT is keeping us connected during this pandemic, apparently that is not the case, at least for this location. ATT customer service had it done for me with a five minute phone call and sending it over night. Thank God because she would have been stuck without a phone until I get back. Will not be visiting this store ever again, even though this is our local shop. We've been with ATT about twenty years, I've been the primary account holder over 10, spending over $20,000. You'd think customer service would be much better! I'd recommend going elsewhere.
AT&T response is garbage. I was willing to pay the $5, but the store still would not let my mom pick up the card if I paid for it, and verified who I was with my pin code, address, email, phone number. These days it is not business as usual, I don't think it's too much to ask if I call and verify as the account owner that I want someone else to be able to pick up a Sim card. I could have added her, but why go through that when it is something so simple. Honestly, this response makes me more angry and has me thinking about leaving ATT because of this one store. The person on the phone was short with be and offered me no solutions. That is not customer service. When I called I could have had the Sim shipped to ANY address. How is that any different than letting someone else pick it up with my...
Read moreI was lied to and tricked into switching my plan to unlimited to get a better deal on an upgrade. I was told my bill would be right around what it used to be, $190 monthly . The next day was told my bill is actually 300$ monthly. Went back to the store today to question my bill. I got there at 12:10 and the two employees running the store for the day were locked outside on the phone trying to get in. When they finally got in they went into the back of the store and left myself and a 90 year old man who had also been waiting since 12 for another 10 minutes, standing outside in the heat. When I finally got in the store they had to again call a manager because they couldn't log into the computer. The manager was put on speaker amd shouted profanity throughout the store with multiple customers inside. Finally when they got logged in I began to question my bill. I had the employee talk to my dad on the phone who is the owner of the account to explain. My dad asked to speak to a manager as our bill increased 100$ in a matter of a day. He told us to come in and he would explain or to call customer service. When my dad got off the phone I explained I knew it was not his fault, but that my bill issue is ridiculous and my process with at&t thus far has been ridiculous. I asked for further assistance and explanation and the worker became visibly upset and rude. He also made condescending comments. The worker then turned his back to me after I expressed that he was not helping me and that he was just getting frustrated. He said "I'm done". TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL AROUND. I left the store and told him that the store had issues. His reply was "yup ok". My father has been on the phone with corporate AT&T and finally got the issue resolved no thanks to anyone at the store. Yesterday when I purchased the phone I was completely lied to about how the promotion works. I was told I could switch plans to unlimited to qualify me for the promotion and that it would be around the same price each month including the upgrade to the iPhone 11 (with my trade in) when in fact it was 100$ more monthly. The store needs new management immediately. I will never be returning and recommending to everyone I know that they should not waste their time with this store. AT&T needs to have better...
