Food was just okay. Service was great, had a really nice server who was on top of everything. The food was reasonably priced, $17 for 3 tacos that are mahi mahi isn't terrible. The corn tortillas were my favorite part because they were nice and thing and not overpowering to the components of the taco. The birria nachos definitely lacked flavor and the weird queso that was poured on top of them kind of tasted like it came out of a can. The birria meat was dry and I was shocked that some consomme wouldn't have been served on the side or something. The queso just really threw us all off and took over the flavor of the already dry birria. My southwest caesar was actually really good and I loved the taste of the chicken. Dressing had a nice kick to it and the romaine lettuce was crunchy and fresh. Always a good sign. Mahi tacos were great, but they literally put the smallest cube of mahi on there that I've ever seen. It was rather confusing, wish there was more granted the profit on that and the size of an actual piece of mahi you would buy at the store. Smashburgers were great and the fries were awesome. Who doesn't love waffle fries? Perfect for dipping. The inside was decorated really unique and there was lots of hand painted artwork on the wall which gave it an edgy vibe. The bar lacked variety for sure and had a rather small selection and even our server said, "we don't have much." I guess this place was alright, could definitely improve in some areas, but I probably...

First of all, it wasn’t big inside the restaurant and we decided to sit outside. It was cool outside and there was a heaters next to us. That was nice, but however, a few guests brought their big giant hairy pets with them and it was a little bit windy and their hair was flying everywhere so it was unpleasant experience to sit next to the neighbors who brought their pets giant dogs to the restaurant where all kind of people around them people with allergies people who doesn’t like hair or pet staring at them or anything like that. Second of all, I don’t like the food we waited too long. The food came and it was hard to catch waitresses. They don’t pay attention. Maybe the music is loud or they are concentrating on other things. It took them long to bring stuff for us and it was not great. The food was made the Philly cheese steak sandwich was not as good as Jimmy John’s sandwich and the mac & cheese was horrible with no salt and I feel like I was at the fast food restaurant and nachos was all right, but all the cheese was at the bottom, not on top of the Nachos. We take down to get cheese. In this restaurant locates next to the Smoke store and you start smelling somebody smoking weed cheap cigars. It was horrible so all the time we couldn’t breathe even though the wind was blowing a little bit we couldn’t breathe because of the smoke shop. Only what I like is just the chicken in the nachos so overall I give three stars and I’m not coming...

Twisted Pine in Winston-Salem boasts a charming and inviting atmosphere; it was a great location to take it easy and catch up with my boyfriend over our lunch break, and I could definitely see this being a hot spot for casual lunch outings with friends. However, the menu options felt somewhat limited, and the main courses that we both tried were rather bland and under seasoned.

I personally ordered the avocado tacos, and they were completely flavorless to my surprise. I had to add salt, pepper, and the single side sauce they offered (Texas Pete), and it still left a lot to be desired. It'd be nice if there were salsas or some kind of dip on the side to help add a bit of depth to the dish, in my opinion. My boyfriend ordered the birriadilla, and he shared that his dish also was rather underwhelming due to its bland flavor and being extremely under seasoned.

While the sweet potato fries and mixed drinks were tasty, the overall price point for both food and drinks seemed high, especially considering the lack of flavor in the main dishes. We wouldn't categorize this as a bad dining experience, but for the cost it wasn't quite worth it for us. We're glad we tried it, though! And there is always the possibility that we just ate there on a bad day for the...

I recently visited Twisted Pine with my coworkers, eager to try a new spot in downtown Winston Salem. The restaurant is in a great location and offers designated parking, which is a rare and welcome convenience for a downtown venue. The atmosphere at Twisted Pine is delightful, and we opted to sit outside, enjoying some much-needed sunlight after being in our cold office. The menu looked promising with a variety of sides beyond the standard options. I decided to go with the Mushroom Punch Burger, accompanied by sweet potato fries. The portion sizes were generous, and the lunch was filling. However, I felt that my burger lacked a bit of tang and flavor. Adding more pickles helped, but it seemed like it needed a little extra kick, perhaps mustard or more seasoning. My coworkers shared a similar sentiment about their meals. While the food didn’t quite hit the mark for us this time, the overall experience was pleasant thanks to the nice ambiance and prompt service. I’m not ready to write off Twisted Pine based on one visit and would consider giving it another try in the future. If you’re looking for a new spot downtown with a nice atmosphere and good service, I’d recommend giving Twisted Pine a try and forming your own opinion.
