Great location to go for food, drinks, or just a cool indoor/outdoor space. Set up in a food hall style with a 10+ delicious vendors you will find something for everyone in a group. From vegan options, açaí bowls, and wellness smoothies to “this little piggy” serving all pork dishes and everything in between (sushi, coal fire pizza, tacos, fancy tartes and gelato, freshly made donuts, Mac and cheese everything) there is so many food options! Being attached to crooked can brewery (nicely placed at the back of the hall to allow for you to grab food first then drinks and/or just do one or the other) is an added bonus. They’ve got service windows for the brewery on the outside and inside to speed up service. There are a few tables inside but seating is primarily outdoor. There is lots of tables but usually most are full on weekends but some (picnic style tables) are big enough for two small groups to split as well. Many of the tables have umbrellas for shade but some do not so depends on what you can find. There is also a seating area with turf (smaller tables and not shaded unfortunately) but is great for kids and pets and is fenced in for safety and convenience. Usually on weekends there will also be a live musician outside as well at this location. A great addition to any winter garden and I recommend either starting or ending a trip to winter garden here. There is also free parking nearby including some city parking and a large field area they use as a makeshift parking...
Read moreVisited on a rainy Wednesday afternoon since we wanted to see what this food mall had to offer. Main entrance is a short walking distance from a large free parking lot. Entrance was conveniently located near the restrooms, which was good after a long road trip for freshening up 👍 Place was not crowded with about 30 other customers eating or browsing wares in the entire "mall". Brewery seemed pretty popular with most of the people in that area.
Lots of different options for all tastes. American food was a majority of the fare. We got a Paradise Burger from the Butcher's Deli, donuts from Benji's, and chocolate/macaron treats from David Ramirez.
There were also 2 stalls for Japanese food (Bento and Norigami) plus a handful of other stalls specializing in snacks (David Ramirez Chocolates, Benji's Mini Donuts, Nosh popcorn).
Only reason this location lost 1 star was the ladies' bathrooms were in a sorry state (messy) and the smell of burnt or cooked meat was still in the air from when we arrived to when we left (ventilation could be better?)
If you like trying different foods in 1 location, this would be a good place to go because of the variety. I recommend going here earlier in the day since some of the shops were already closed...
Read moreIf you like over priced mac and cheese and microbrews, you've come to the right place! I'm originally from hipster Portland, OR and grew up in the most hipster section of town known as the Hawthorne district. I get the hipster thing. This place is trying so hard, I feel a little sorry for it. I originally went to see if they might have a small fruit and vegetable stand but no. The first thing that greets you when you walk in is the smell of the brewery which permeates most of the place (and none of the many microbrews in ptown ever smelled that funky) then you are confronted with the collection of smells from the butcher, which don't smell bad....but also don't smell good. The kids and I just strolled right through and I only paused to glance at the supposed local honey that was all prepackaged and looked like something from a factory. At least bulk nation sells theirs for $6 a bottle and I can tell it's unfiltered. This place is just barely what I expect from a shop that calls itself artisan. Where's the fresh goat cheese? The pickles? Oh look...there's a dude scraping what looks like raclette on things and charging a premium...you...
