Well itâs sad when a place with such good reviews fails to come through. My wife spent $400 with Apricot a few weeks ago and was excited for the clothes she purchased. She had several tops that require special care, but two of them didnât survive that special care. We even discussed taking them to dry cleaners as she didnât want to ruin these. But the tag said specifically not to dry clean. SoâŠshe follows the instructions on the tagâŠ.and BOTH shrink to half size. The others do fine, but these two do not. What??? Today we go back and she takes them in hoping to get some assistance. Not asking for money back. She loves these tops. But basically she was called a liar, she didnât follow the instructions, andâŠwell please âgo pack sand.â Needless to say she was extremely frustrated. Basically called her a liar about how she washed these. We literally went back and forth about dry cleaning to ensure wouldnât have an issue. But she did what was stated on the tag instead. And they shrunk. And now Apricot has lost a customer for life. Itâs a nice shop with apparently fragile clothes, so buyer beware. I still am not sure how we could have done anything differently. But at least we have narrowed her shopping options down by one shop. So disappointed for my wife as she was excited to have found this...
Read moreI was at this store with a friend from out of town last weekend. We are both american and have pretty pale color of skins, but we carry our hispanic background with much pride and we are extremely fortunate to fluently speak two languages, Spanish and English. When we are toguether we enjoy speaking Spanish, as soon as we walked into this store, the employees heard us speak Spanish and the gave us a nasty look, 2 our of the 3 employees never approached us or said a word to us even though the store was empty and we were making asignificant purchase. When my friend tried to ask them a question about the store, they were cut,dry and rude. Employees in retail and customer service need to be trained to have people skills and work with a diverse public especially in Florida where we are an amazing meeting pot. I will never go back to this store, these ladies had racist and rude attitudes towards us without a reason. Thankfully its a franchise and we can find their cloathing else were but the brand should be careful who they sell it too and the employees hired as it's speak directly of...
Read moreWant this store to be great as we need small businesses to thrive in small towns, such as downtown Winter Garden. However, when we tried to simply exchange a dress recently (9/20/23), we were turned away because we were a bit beyond their 14 day return policy. The store staff was completely unwilling to accommodate even an exchange. Dress was a gift and it was absolutely unworn, with all tags in tact. We werenât asking for money back! Just wanted an exchange. They still have the same dress on their rack, so itâs not as if this was a discontinued item.
We were a bit shocked. Youâd expect kinder, more accommodating treatment from a local shop.
Strict, inflexible and unnecessary rules like this âno exchangesâ after 14 days are what can ruin a small business over time. We donât plan to return any time soon. Enjoy the $60 donation to your store Apricot...
