Plantation Jewelers — Local services in Winter Garden

After searching several local jewelers to assess and repair the broken hinge on my eye glass frame it was suggested to me that I go by Plantation Jewelers located in downtown Winter garden. Upon doing so, I was greeted by Anne and she took my damaged glasses to Alex (get this, he's a real master jeweler) who not only carefully assessed the issue with my glasses. But, he took the time to show me exactly where the damage had occurred under a large lighted magnifying glass, he explained the steps involved to repair my glasses, how much time it would take and the costs involved. He even offered me "a risk free warrantee" if the work he provided didn't meet my approval. Talk about "OUTSTANDING" customer service. It surely wasn't absent on this day. As a result, I must say, Alex did an "EXCEPTIONAL" job with repairing my glasses. And, it took him much less time than what he had originally estimated. Am I satisfied with the work that Alex did? You darn skippy I am. His expert craftsmanship saved me $$$.$$ from having to buy new glasses. To Alex, Anne and the staff at Plantation Jewelers, Thank you very guys very much. Horrible service! Walk in there and nobody says hi. Drop my husbands ring off for sizing after they size him and comes back the wrong size and then they recharge us again to correct their mistake ! They must be hurting for money. See thee other reviews of service. Then thinking it was an accidental mistake and their convenience and in our neck of woods, we drop off my rings for sizing and a few days later they are again (both) miss sized, and jeweler's excuse both times was to stupid to even bother explaining....had to do with his two ring sizers. He blamed his staff for the mistakes but charged us for both of their mistakes! ...My husband is an engineer and the jeweler made zero sense of his explanations .. Oh yes and the jeweler wanted to help us be happy before we left and gave us a 252.00 charge....bahaha and two other charges mind you for my husbands ring ordeal a few days before. Thank God we are not in finacial dispare like I suspect he is. The store is looking pretty run down. I couldn't get out of that store fast...

I came to this jeweler a few months ago because I was looking for an engagement ring. When I approached someone, it was going well—they asked typical questions such as what band and shape of diamond I wanted. Then we moved on to the person in charge of estimates, and I was met with really rude customer service. She told me that I needed to make a deposit in order to get a quote and that I needed to commit now, all while having a judging/annoyed attitude. I mentioned that I wanted to look at all shapes, sizes, and colors, and I was told that I needed to make a decision now and that I “shouldn’t change my mind all the time.” With the pressure to make a deposit just to receive a quote, I decided that this was not the place for me. After mentioning that I did not want to make a deposit just for a quote, this lady ripped the paper where she was taking notes about the ring I wanted right in front of me. Maybe I came on a bad day, but I left very...
