I had a terrible experience with customer service today at Target. I placed a pick up order due to having an infant and a large order. I knew I wouldn't be able to handle my stroller/infant and a full cart at the same time. I placed the order and within 30 minutes it was ready. I got there about 20 minutes later. I pulled up to a pick up order spot and was able to check in. I waited for at least 15 minutes before a customer, NOT AN EMPLOYEE, but a customer came up to me to let me know I would need to go in to get my order due to the weather. Side note, it was no longer raining or thundering by the time I got there and I placed a PICK UP order for a reason. If they weren't able to do the pick up orders because of the weather why was I allowed to place it in the first place? Or why didn't they let me know before hand that they couldn't do the pick up orders at this time and to just come later instead of letting me get all the way there.
So I got my sleeping infant out of the car and in to her stroller to go get my order. They placed everything in to a cart for me. The cart was almost overflowing so there was no where for me to even put my infant so I didn't have to push the stroller and the cart at the same time. I asked if someone could at least help me push the cart out to the car or at least to the awning underneath. I was told by the manager standing there, REBECCA, that it was "policy" that due to the weather they couldn't assist me out. My best option was just to go home and come back later after I was already standing there in front of her with my baby. She didn't provide any sort of solution like letting me pull up under the awning to get my stuff or to have an employee at least walk me to the doors. Instead, she and THREE other employees watched me struggle to push my packed cart and stroller all the way out to my car. THEY LITERALLY STOOD THERE AND WATCHED ME AS I STRUGGLED.
Again, I reiterate, I understand policy however she and the staff were completely rude and unsympathetic. I, of course, will not be returning to this particular Target and I will be telling all of my friends in this area (and I have A LOT) not to come back...
Read morePlace for plant based options!
(COVID-19: Masks are required to enter, they have masks for those that forgot them - though we should be masks pros now. There is a designated person that wipes down the carts so all of them are cleaned and ready to use)
What did I get I frequent here for some groceries. I like to get my bananas here, always seems to be in the perfect ripeness for me. The asian pears are also very good and I don't need to go to the asian supermarkets! I also get my Tempeh from here. It seems they have kind of revamped that area and there are a lot more plant based options than other places like Publix. Oatly ice cream! I was so excited that Target carries these, and ive always wanted to try it. I live super close to Target and I like that the groceries I need to buy are always available.
Environment This is located in the Winter Garden Village, so parking is not a problem. You can park and walk around. Plenty to see. There is also a small area inside that you can buy popcorn and sit. OH! There is a starbucks inside, no better way to stroll around Target picking up items you don't need than with a cup of starbucks! The starbucks got revamped as well, there is some bar seating available to sit and enjoy your drink before or after shopping.
Niceness of the staff I never had any issues with the staff. But of course I barely have any contact with the staff since I never have questions and there is self check out registers! Pretty nice and friendly I would say.
Dollar Target dollars~ I like the asian pears here, the tempeh also is very reasonable here. You may need to check sometimes for their coupons and deals and you can snag some good stuff. They sometimes have gift cards for an amount of purchases.
Yes? Yup, I haven't had a disgusted...
Read morePicking up an order is a nightmare at this store. All of the order pick up parking spots are consistently taken by people shopping inside the stores in the plaza. Once I finally parked, I waited 30 minutes outside only to notice that nobody was bringing out orders to people picking up. I went into the store, to the order pickup, to be greeted by Bob, an incredibly rude elderly Indian man. I explained to him the situation and instead of helping me he told me to speak to a manager. I asked him if he could get a manager over and he refused. I then asked him if he could get my pick up order and he said he could not find it. I told him to try my maiden name and he simply asked for my ID. I gave him my ID and again explained that the order is under my maiden name and he told me "I know how to do my job." He did not look up my order under my maiden name and still was unable to find my order. I once again asked to speak to a manager and he simply pointed behind me and said "there they are" and disappeared. I again explained to the manager the situation about not getting my drive up order and all of the spots being taken by in store shoppers and he said they would take care of it and left. Two other young employees came by a few seconds later and asked me if anyone had helped me and I explained everything to them. Jawaanda I think was her name and a young black gentleman cannot remember his name were both very kind to me. They were able to find my order under my maiden name and it was still in the back. He brought my order out and gave me a cart so that I could bring it out to my car. Jawaanda said that she would let a manager know about the situation and apologized. Overall this was an incredibly frustrating experience and I will not be ordering pick up at this...
