I visited the Winter Garden Village store (Home Goods and Marshalls) where me and my family go often because we live in the area. I had a very sour experience with the manager/coordinator ……. THIS WAS IN JANUARY.
As many people I go to your stores to take advantage of the Christmas sales at this time of the year. I was purchasing a candle that had the sale price of $12 with a red sticker on. When the cashier scanned it, it showed that the price was $30, so I told her she needed to verify the price and she called the manager………, she took the item and came back with it saying that it was $20 (I think) I very respectfully told her that no, the price was $12. She rudely said that the price was the one that she just put in and somebody ripped of the price and put the $12 in there. I was in a harry and didn’t want to argue anymore, but told her I was going to check because there were more of the same items in there with the same price ($12)...I went back and checked that the price was $12 and there many of the same items were with the same price. Now, I’m not trying to start trouble here but I just think this lady should be brought to your attention, she not only didn’t believe me, but she didn’t check the price with the other items or send anybody to check it. I felt super offended by the comment and she made me loose so much time! So please I respectfully ask you to take actions . The cashier and another lady that saw the situation were really helpful. My son had a meeting with friends and he run behind because of her. This is no the way to treat your clients. Specially when most of the business is done by us.
Please follow up and let me know what kind of actions you are taking. Thank you
The moral of this story is: “Please neighborhood stores don’t treat your neighbor friends/customers as if they were only going to your store once. They keep your store alive by going there and shopping...
Read moreDear Management,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent experience at your Marshalls & HomeGoods store, specifically with an encounter I had with an individual named Alex, who identified himself as the manager on duty.
I recently purchased an umbrella for my yard from your store, with the expectation that it would include all necessary accessories for safe and proper use. I discovered that a crucial component, the bottom accessory responsible for holding the umbrella securely in place, was missing.
When I politely approached Alex to inquire about obtaining the missing part, I was shocked by his response. Instead of acknowledging the oversight or offering assistance, he callously informed me that the item was intentionally sold without this essential safety accessory. This assertion contradicted the information displayed on the product tag, which clearly indicated the inclusion of said part at the bottom.
As someone who prioritizes the safety and well-being of my family, I found Alex's disregard for this matter deeply concerning. It is unacceptable for a supervisor, if indeed he holds such a position, to display such indifference towards ensuring the safety of customers.
In light of this experience, I am left questioning the integrity and professionalism of the management at your establishment. It is my sincere hope that this feedback will prompt a reevaluation of your policies and practices to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to address my concerns. I trust that you will take appropriate action to rectify this situation and uphold the standards of safety and customer service that your brand purports to represent.
Please follow up and let me know what kind of actions you are...
Read moreI have never dealt with such poor customer service in my life!
I found the perfect item for my dog, looked at the price tag, and it was marked $0.00. I obviously knew this was an error, but I was not concerned of the price and proceeded to the register. When I was rung up, staff barked at me like the pricing error was my fault - apparently it was "marked out" and was not supposed to be on the floor as it was a seasonal (Halloween - 3 months later, though). A woman grabbed it from my hands and started to scurry off as they could apparently not sell it.
I asked what would be done with it and she ignored me. I'm not one for a sob story, but I tried to explain why it was perfect for my pet. My dog has very acute allergies. She is even allergic to human dander. Due to these environmental allergies that I cannot eliminate she has to wear a body suit - this item was a costume, but would work well for this purpose on laundry days.....etc. etc. etc. Long story short, she didn't care, another employee said I should "let my dog go free," and another was clearly rolling her eyes.
I requested a manager, explained the situation, and he was willing to help. He, himself, went to the back and tried to find it, but it was apparently nowhere to be found.
If you can't sell it, I get it. Just don't be SO offensive...
