This review gets lengthy. In short, ask for Emerald or Courtney, ask them what they would have with the current staff on hand, otherwise, don't go unless you have health insurance.
Uno Chicago Grill!?! Let me tell you about this place. First and foremost, if you MUST go and experience it, ask for a girl (woman) named Emerald or ask for Courtney. Both are awesome and hopefully they both still work there.
The first time I went to Uno's I had Courtney as a server and she was attentive and didn't want to talk my ear off like those really random and awkward servers do sometimes. I've had Emerald a few times and, like Courtney, very attentive and personable.
The best part about BOTH of them, however, is that they make it worth the horrible food. Order ANY meat and it's sure to come out the way you did NOT order it. Rare means burnt, well means, "Please drop it on the floor, play soccer, and serve cold."
In old military terms, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Ricky Recruit!?!
Okay, so the MASSIVE menu is overwhelming, but they do good pizza right!?! Pfft! Deep dish pizza is something that was INVENTED by Uno's in Chicago. I'm sure they used a different method than Winter Garden because it comes out cold in the center every time. Really guys!?! Cheese needs to be hot on a pizza!
Bartenders are fun. There's a bald guy in glasses that makes a killer margarita. Another guy that looks like one of those Cullen characters that never stops smiling. I think he's up to something, but he makes good drinks.
Don't drink the wine, none of it is anything notably good and, like most restaurants, a glass costs as much as a bottle across the street. At least the bartenders vacuum it with a very phallic looking pump! Stays fresh!
Burgers are pretty good IF you get a good cook. I've watched them come out burned to perfectly done. They have this spicy cheddar cheese that is "to die for," as in the taste might kill you. Get a regular burger with everything on the side. Their produce is hit or miss.
Salads are HUGE. Unfortunately they chop everything into the tiniest pieces every. Ask for a spoon when ordering a salad, no fork is needed.
Staff is somewhat friendly. I've had managers visit my table at almost every visit. There's one with a sweet 70's police officers mustache. Another guy that looks like Bob from Bob's burgers, but with gray hair. I actually think his name is Bob too. Ironic. There is also a woman who likes to talk your ear off. I'm pretty sure I know enough to write a biography for her. There's one more woman manager type, she stops by, says hello, smiles, walks away. She lets you eat! All are pretty interesting people.
Pros! They have wifi (But why would you want to sit there?), they'll remake your food 15 times if they have to in order to please you, Courtney and Emerald are spot on servers
Cons: Medical bill (bring TUMS), mediocre wine, inconsistent food preparation, other servers have yet to satisfy requirements of a 20% tip (It's 2013 people, 20% is standard now), and the oven doesn't cook the pizza (or they don't know how)
In final, go to experience it, but roll the dice on your chances of a good time. Value? It's a typical American restaurant. Pay $15, get 3 lbs of food.
This is another Food Review by SKULLY!...

Hi, my name is Matt Hylton. My family and I go out to eat around 4 or 5 times a week and tonight we decided to try your restaurant for the first time. Previously I worked in the service industry for many years and I was appalled at the service we received tonight. Our evening started with hearing complaints by our soon to be waitress about not wanting to be there, and not wanting to work any large tables. Moments later my name was called and she insisted to the hostess that she would seat us. She raced back to our table and we lost sight of her as we tried to get our 5 year old daughter moving. We went the direction she had gone just in time to see her flop the one menu she bothered to bring on the table and storm towards the server station. I decided then I did not want her as our server. I went back to the hostess and asked for a different server, no one asked why I wanted someone else or if every thing was okay. They did however agree to give us a different waitress. With high hopes that our service was going to get better we were quickly let down. Our second waitress never introduced herself, she had little to say while at our table and was slow to bring us anything. We chalked that up to our table being added to what we assume was her already busy night and again hoped for the best. Our food slowly arrived after we ordered two adult entrees and a kids meal. I ordered the rattlesnake pasta. Before I had even taken my first bite of the dish I knew it looked off. On top of the pasta was a handful of pickeled jalapeños which really surprised me, the pasta looked dry and unappetizing. I was able to eat about 2 bites of the meal before I realized I just couldn't eat it. I pushed the pasta to the side and shared the other entree we ordered with my girlfriend. Our waitress came back and asked if we wanted boxes and even after we said no she didn't seem to realize the completely untouched meal sitting right in front of me. She sat the check on the table and walked away. After pondering weather I should say something or not I decided I would ask if she could take the one meal off the check. With out a single question or apology she said she would take care of it and walked off. About 5 minutes later who we assume to be a manager approached us. The 3rd person not to bother introducing them-self. He said hi and stood over us waiting for us to talk, after waiting he finally said "I hear you didn't like your dish? What was wrong with it?" After explaining my concerns he began to question me again and mentioned that he had brought it out and it looked as it should to him. Again no apology and now I was feeling attacked by the manager of the store. He agreed to take the meal of the ticket. Only after they ran my card did they bother to offer me another dish. At this point I'm not interested in any special offer because I'm certain I could ever go back to that restaurant after the experience we...
Read moreBe careful ordering from this place online. Our experience was incredibly disappointing.
My girlfriend has wanted to try UNO's since we moved to Orlando. She surprised me today and had made an order of some meals we had wanted to try. She ordered delivery because I'm stuck working today.
Unfortunately, when the meal arrived, multiple items we ordered did not show up.
Dissappointing, but we know things happen, so we called, and expected a quick and fair refund.
The gentlemen on the phone said we had to contact Uber Eats and put is on hold as he went to find multiple uber eats numbers for us to call. Once he found them, we wrote them down and contacted Uber Eats...
After the first number told us they couldn't help us, we tried the second number.
Uber Eats couldn't locate the order number from the order number we asked the gentlemen from UNOs for.
After 20 more minutes of holds and delays, were told to contact the restaurant.
And that Uber must have a representative from the restaurant "contact uber eats" on our behalf to verify the order.
At this point, we are 45 minutes in the loop of finger pointing with cold food, and were defeated and frustrated.
After 1600+ reviews, and 10,000+ orders at this restaurant, you'd assume they'd have a clear and streamline processed for refunding customers on missing items.
Crap happens. We get that. We're far less concerned about the missing items as we are about our treatment asking for a refund for those items.
The food that did make it to our house, though cold by the time we could eat it, was good...
... but unfortunately half of our meals were missing necessary components, so at least $30-$40 of the meal was a waste.
The order number they gave us was #54414 - but Uber Eats said it wasn't right. The order was under Amber.
I don't ever do these reviews, especially negative reviews often, let alone for silly mistakes like missing items that happen!
But after 45 mins of phone calls followed by eating cold half available food and watching my girlfriend so frustrated, talking to human robots that showed little empathy, care, or desire to help. This has been a ridiculous experience of back and forth B.S. that costs all of far more than a fair refund would have quickly solved.
My thoughts are simple... if you aren't sure who's fault it is, then it's ALL of your FAULT.
Can someone...
