I recently had the opportunity to visit the Goodwill Boutique located in Winter Park, and as an avid collector and thrifter, I wanted to share my thoughts and review of this particular store. First and foremost, the overall ambiance of the boutique was quite impressive. The layout was well-organized, with neatly arranged racks and sections for different types of items such as clothing, accessories, and home goods. It felt more like a high-end consignment store rather than a traditional thrift shop, which definitely heightened the shopping experience. When it came to the selection of items, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. The home goods section was also well-stocked with a diverse range of items, from small decor pieces to larger furniture items. One aspect that stood out to me was the pricing. I found the boutique prices to be slightly higher than a regular Goodwill store. However, considering the more curated selection and better overall quality of items, I felt that the slight increase in price was justified. Another positive aspect was the staff's friendliness and helpfulness. They were readily available to assist customers and answer any questions. It created a welcoming atmosphere and made the shopping experience even more enjoyable. In terms of improvements. Overall, my experience at the Goodwill Boutique in Winter...
Read moreExtremely rude and disrespectful cashiers. I'm an army retired veteran and always come to this store with my wife. We love the store but lately they have a lot of new hires that need to get trained in customer service because they totally treat older people with disrespect. I had asked the cashier to give me military discount and she ignored me and turned to the side to speak to an also very rude Indian manager they have. That manager used to be at CurryFord store and now is at the boutique with her wrong manners as well. After 3 attempts to gain their attention, a very nice lady offered me help, I believe she's a new manager and interrupted their very loud conversation and asked the cashier to please give me my much deserved discount for serving my country. She immediately and very respectfully apologized and took over the situation. Several customers in line behind me applauded her professional manners. They need to learn from her. Not sure what her name is mybwife thinks is Michelle because she's also new to the store but anyways she fixed my afternoon that day after such a very bad experience. This experience won't stop me from visiting my favorite store but I hope someone sees this and take action and train...
Read moreIt had some cool things arguably. I drove pretty far out because I heard cool things about this specific place. However charging $20 for a very used sweater with absolutely no tags so there wasnât even a brand, $15 and $20 for god-forsaken SHEIN jackets, even up to $50 for coats is absolutely mind-boggling for a goodwill. Everywhere I moved it was like I was in staffâs way. Iâm a notorious thrift store shopper and I absolutely can justify $50 for a leather jacket in the appropriate setting. But not at a goodwill that had their stuff dumped on them for free, and canât even pay employees a living wage. Anything in the $5-$15 max range were all childrenâs clothes or very much tasteless. Anything good was priced so high I might as well have bought it brand new. I canât even imagine how insulting it is for someone less financially able to buy full-priced items to walk in here and see a $25 flannel thatâs been worn to hell. I walked across the street to Avalon Exchange and walked out with 4 things for $20. Iâve even been to a bougie thrift store in NYC and have found cheaper deals there. This storeâs just a...
