Maybe my expectations were too high after seeing all the social media reels, videos and reviews. But let me just say that a place should be as good around closing time as during the early hours of the day. I was there 2 hours before closing. Ordered a hot latte that was served on the just warm side, nothing remarkable and disappointing. Then we ordered a chicken Cesar salad that felt nothing closed to a salad as the lettuce was drenched in fat to the point that my daughter could not eat it and the little she ate gave her a stomach ache. The chicken was good. Also ordered a burger and with my approval was served a burger with just one patty because they were out of burger patties, the burger should have 2 patties. Of this I was informed after I placed my order, the server came back to say that they only had one burger patty, asked if I wanted something else or a burger with just one patty. Given that I could not find anything else on the menu that I wanted I agreed to a one patty burger for a discount (which I asked for, it wasn't offered to begin with). The positive, the server. She was nice and you could tell she was doing everything from taking orders to serving to preparing drinks, just one person. However, the overall experience was a disappointment. Would I look forward to go back? No. Would I recommend it to my friends, I can't, not based on my experience. Truly hate to write a review like this but after all the amazing reels and social media coverage, this place felt short. No, I don't appreciate a discount because I want a good experience and good food, I had to accept a discount which frankly was the least that could have been done, but that is not good for a business. I rather pay full price and leave a place thinking "can't wait to come back", that was not the case, after all the discount was not enough to cover the bad and incomplete food. New! Read moreWalked in on a weekday for a quick bite during a slow period and yet somehow still took ages to get our food. Got a tiramisu latte and a lemon juice, both were tasty and gave us high hopes. I was hungry so i finished my garlic parmesan pasta (which I can only describe as penne covered in watery, bland cream)—but not hungry enough to eat the chicken. The seasoning was good but the chicken was tough/rubbery and had a weird taste, like the inside of a refrigerator. My husband asked for his burger medium well but was informed that it was a smash burger so it was all cooked the same. The burger arrived and was no where near a smash burger, had some pink in the center and the caramelized onions were barely transluscent—as you can see in the picture. The waitress was a gem tho, super sweet and helpful. I didnt have the heart to tell her the whole meal was a bust. Somehow, a burger, a pasta dish and two non refillable drinks was $60 after tip, and that’s after our kind waitress gave us a discount bc she saw I hadnt eaten the chicken. Overall, go literally anywhere else in this...
Read moreWe headed ourselves to Black Coffee Sunday morning to try out the new place in town. We’re brunch lovers so the bar is settled very high, let me tell you this place did not disappoint at all when all I can think of is “how to rate this place just 10/10” Starting off with the amazing service everyone there is willing to give, the owner he’s one of a kind and the fact that he was assisting the tables it is top notch! We had to order a few things from the menu since everything was so appealing. We did fresh juices (I do recommend the carrot orange 10/10) We did non-alcoholic lavander mimosas 100/10 For brunch we did Madame Croque Sandwich, Steak Omelette and Salmon Benedicts. Everything was mouthwatering, however the real showstopper was the grilled lettuce caesar salad. As a chef i’ve never tasted a salad so rare yet so flavorful before, so if you’re a salad person this is a MUST for you to try. 1000/10 wanted to take some home but that’s one of those plates to eat at the moment.
Will definitely be repeating this...
