United States Postal Service — Local services in Winterset

Eric Wilson was unbelievably disrespectful and rude to my wife on the phone because the carrier that we have has lost two of our packages that are very important and we are on day 3 of not getting our packages because of this. I called back in to talk to him myself and tell him he needs to not be disrespectful and rude to my wife that this isn’t our fault and it’s very frustrating. This Eric Wilson then told me to call him when I don’t make any mistakes and he’ll be waiting. I went on to tell him I make mistakes but I fix them immediately and do what ever it takes to fix them. I then told him I will bring the bill for these items when I reorder them and he told me that I’d be wasting my time and he wouldn’t do anything. All I ended up with from this call was an extremely disrespectful and ignorant Eric Wilson telling me this isn’t his fault and he’s too busy to do anything about his carrier’s mistake. It just blows my mind how disrespectful, degrading, ignorant, and just plain rude this Eric Wilson was to my wife and I. A customer who is missing their stuff because of a mistake made by your employee should be treated with respect and kindness because this is your fault and we are supposed to trust the postal service to deliver our extremely...

Extremely disappointed with this PO. Both of my parents are deceased. I was in there about a month ago to close their PO Box and have their mail forwarded to my address. I provided death certificates and my appointment as Executor and completed the mail forwarding form. I have received no forwarded mail AND am getting calls that mail is being returned to sender. I spoke to a gal who said the forward was deleted and gave the phone to Eric. He was rude, disrespectful and didnt care that this happened and could not provide a reason. My option is to go on line and complete all again or go into the Winterset office again. I live in Florida. His attitude and customer service sucks and USPS should be ashamed of...

The last three Postal persons have been awesome. At 2377 Francesca Ave. Our mail carrier is a woman, a gentleman before her has since retired, and RaeJean McDonald whom has also left. I am sorry I don’t know her name, carrying for us now; she is so friendly and helpful. I can’t always get out of the house; if we have packages she will bring them to our back door.
