The Iowa Theater — Local services in Winterset

We went on Wayback Wednesday for the showing of North by Northwest. I’ve never been to a movie that felt like a community event before and it was delightful. Absolutely the best marquee theater I've been to in years. It just exudes classic theater vibes. Just a 30 drive from des moines you can fall back into the era of true cinema and watch the greats and even the most recent releases. Great popcorn, snacks, and great drink/ adult beverage selection. Very cute old time theater. They've renovated it nicely. Not a good place to go if you have trouble walking. Not much seating on the main level. Balcony seating has steep, narrow stairs and no elevator. I bought tickets to an event weeks ago, arrived 15 minutes early and was directed upstairs with my cane. Didn't see any seats set aside for handicapped. There were entire rows empty and "reserved" in the lower level. Ruined the...
