Harbor Freight — Local services in Woodbridge Township

First time I've ever went through these doors and definitely the last time! I went in and found what I wanted and went to register. When I got to the register, there was a man returning something and the manager was using the only open register to help him. There was myself and another gentleman behind me. The manager, Kelly, proceeded to help him, even after he was rung up on the register. He needed to fill out some paperwork. Instead of asking him to come around to another counter to fill out paperwork and allowing frank to check out other customers, she continued to hold up the line while getting filled out paperwork for return. Finally, it's my turn at register. Frank told me the free tarp on the coupon only came in blue; I had green. They were the same size and price, but whatever rules are rules. So I step out of line to get blue tarp. When I return a couple seconds later, frank is now returning something from the man that was originally behind me. And there was another man in front of me. Instead of frank finishing to help the man with the return and then telling the other man, she was here first, would you mind if I checked her out since she was here first, he checked out the other man in front of me and I had to wait again. I just got the feeling that customer service wasn't top priority at this store. I will never ever go back...

Harbor freight if you don't know already is pretty much the same from store to store besides service and a few larger items that are stocked at different locations. But for the most part certain things like a grinder i would not buy personally since they are offered for so cheap compared to a name brand like Bosch, Dewalt, Metabo, or even Milwaukee. But if you do remember most of the items are guaranteed so when they break make sure to bring them back for another. Personally i would recommend buying sockets or any other tools you may only need for a 1time job for the price and warranty for when they break. But just beware for example as a socket will work fine and break eventually, i am an ironworker and i tried using their connecting bar and as I'm standing on a beam a few 100ft in the air trying to pry and align another column into place the bar just snapped sending the column free and shifting all my body weight rapidly. If i wasn't prepared for this because i was already skeptical of the tool i could've fallen. So just understand the price is what it is for a reason and while you can find great deals for many items it is also better certain times to buy the more expensive...

Why is it that when you go to this Harbor freight, no one is ever willing to help you out. Every harbor freight that you go to offers a weekly paper for the sales and specials for ITC members.

I asked the lady for the weekly circular so that I could review the sales because I was in need of a few tools to buy. I'm a local handyman and come here regularly! As a matter of fact, this is where I bought my ITC membership.

It's absurd that these people aren't willing to help you, in a level of customer service. I asked you associate if I could get the weekly circular. She seemed confused as though she's never seen the front counter handing it off to everyone that enters. The lady looks confused, lost, and almost as if she works in a different planet. "We don't do that. Harbor freight doesn't do that. Everything for harbor freight is online now."

Clearly, she has no idea how to do her job. As I'm walking out, I see the circular every customer. I'm about to stay, but realize if this is how their customer services I clearly don't want to even ask her advice on tools.
