NZK Designers Studio — Local services in Woodbridge Township

The problem with this place is not the clothes or even the high prices. The problem is with the owner and her arrogant and disrespectful attitude. For a business owner, she does not even know the first thing when it comes to customer service. Our initial interaction with her was pleasant, however she would always arrive at the store later than scheduled. This is something we put up with, with minimal frustration. The real problem we had with her is her treatment of us, her customers. When we custom ordered my wedding dress, she was there for the whole process. I picked out a dress which consists of a short gown and a long skirt and shawl. Along with this, I requested matching pants, so I could move more easily during the reception. She obliged, wrote it on my invoice and said it would be absolutely no problem. She included this in the price (nowhere on the invoice does it indicate that it was complimentary). The dress only came the week before the wedding, and needed alterations which she did on time. However, the pants did not arrive with the dress. When we inquired about the pants, she said they would arrive next month. This wasn't acceptable since the event was in one week. So it is HER job to provide a suitable alternative. She gave me some pants to try on, none of which were in the right color, nor did they fit. She said to come back during the week before the event to pick up some additional pants to try on. My mother contacted her the day before the second pickup, 9:30 at night, regarding the status of the pants. My mother had picked up some pants that day and none of those fit, so she wanted to inquire about what alternatives there were. The owner did not respond. The next morning, my mother wrote to her again (around 11 AM) and expressed her disappointment and frustration with the owner's lack of customer service. The owner responded(after an hour) saying "she doesn't work after 8 PM". As a business owner, who gave her personal number to my mother so she could be contacted at any time that is not right. My mother went to pick up the pants and when she went there she could tell immediately that the pants were NOT going to fit. She was pulling them out of the dresses that were in the store. When my Mom said that the pants were not going to fit to the sales lady, the owner proceeded to interject and yell at my mother in front of other customers. She repeatedly said to my mother, in front of others, that she was "giving us the pants for free" which was not true because she did not write that on the invoice. On top of that she proceeded to say "All you Desis are just like this" which is a racist comment, because we are Indian, that she made towards my mother. My mother told the owner she was very unprofessional and for the amount of money we paid for the dress ($2300), that another $100 would not have made a difference and the she should treat her customers fairly and not make racist and disrespectful comments about them in front of other customers. This woman has no respect for others, and will openly bash you in front of her other customers without blinking an eye. This is totally unacceptable for someone who is supposed to be catering to Brides. This caused so much unnecessary stress the days leading up to my wedding reception. The next day, we found a suitable pants for $30 at another vendor- we returned all of the duds she gave, back to her and we will never go here again or recommend her to anybody. I personally, confronted her over text and told her she had to apologize to my mother directly for how she put her down and disrespected her in front of others. She never apologized to my mother directly. If you want to support a racist, rude and unprofessional person, please go ahead...

I had recently discovered that NZK Designer Studio had moved from her previous location (her shop always stood out compared to the other bridal stores nearby). My best friend is getting married and needed a dress, so I recommended her to check out NZK! I went with her and took her to Naznin's shop for the firs time. Naznin was so welcoming, helpful and took out time to make sure the client was happy with the dress. Taking into consideration what the client had in mind, Naznin made sure to have the dress tailored accordingly. She is so genuine and made everything work out for my friend just in time! Apart from a professional standpoint, she is a beautiful person inside and out. It shows in her work and the collections she has are beautiful at her studio. NZK is one of the best places to shop for South-Asian bridal/party wear. My sister and I both got our nikkah and rukhsati dresses from here. We live in upstate NY but we were willing to make a 2 hour drive south just to visit this store. The selection is elegant and beautiful, the quality/design of the clothes is unmatched compared to other shops which we visited in Edison NJ and Long Island. Naznin is professional, warm, welcoming and friendly. She gives a lot of attention to detail and provides positive feedback and advise on the dress which will suit you best.
