Very convenient as compared to the Metropark NJ Transit station. However, the station is elevated hence you experience direct winds during the winters. There's a couple of semi-closed waiting rooms with those heat-providing-yellow-light-tubes.
If you're lucky and get a quarterly parking at 10 Green St. or Pearl St. then you'll only be a minute away from the station tracks, however, the other NJ Transit Parking at Eleanor St. is 5-10 mins away, depending on where you park your vehicle.
The only major drawback - daily parking is too far away hence you really need to plan accordingly if you're taking the trains esp. in the mornings...
Read moreI wasn't sure how the commute was going to be using NJCL, but to my surprise, the train came on time and reached NY Penn on time. The ride was smooth, and the boarding train was seamless. The station is elevated and tough to wait for a train in cold 🥶 since no closed heated areas are available. Overhead heater are there but in an open area. Other than that, the station doesn't get crowded in the morning. Bay head and Long branch bound trains are express to NY Penn. One or two stops and New York Penn and Vice versa on return...
