I used to like B-Thrifty A LOT. It's disappointing since COVID-19 hit because they took away the 50% off for members on Sunday's & and Mondays, especially since customers need the 50% off more now than before COVID-19 since customers have less money. Some prices are too high, especially when they get donations for free. I've seen used water bottles at B-Thrifty for $14.99, wallets for 7.99 or higher & a small clinique makeup bag for $39.99. Some of these items can be bought BRAND NEW for the same prices. I understand that the merchandise needs to be marked a little higher, especially during a 50% off sale, so B-Thrifty can make money to pay employees & pay rent, etc, but some prices are ridiculous I understand that they need to arrange the clothes according to the seasons but it's frustrating when they rearrange the clothes I get used to the layout being one way but after they rearrange the clothes I find it very hard to find anything especially certain pants that I like to wear & forget about finding women's sweatpants. 6/19/21 UPDATE: B-Thrifty started doing 50% off again, but in May 2021, B-Thrifty started 50% off ONLY on Sundays. I THINK they only have 50% off Sunday & Monday when it's a holiday. B-Thrifty does 50% off VERY sporadically now. The last time that they had a 50% off sale was 6/6/21. 10/9/21 UPDATE: B-Thrifty has totally rearranged their store, so it's even harder to find stuff. The 1st time that I shopped at B-Thrifty (about 2 weeks ago) after they rearranged the store I couldn't find anything plus it was hard to shop b/c the employees had shopping carts in the way. I know they have to do their job, but there were way too many carts in the way. 5/18/22 B-Thrifty has a section where they sell. I guess they are "NEW" items like drink tumblers, straws, disinfecting wipes, kitchen items, shampoo, clothes, etc. It's almost like B-Thrifty is trying to become a department store instead of a THRIFT store that it was/is supposed to be. I know things change, BUT I miss the way B-Thrifty used to be when I first started going there in 2013. I was sad & disappointed to find out that Sylvia, the manager, doesn't work at B-Thrifty any longer. I know that she doesn't & shouldn't have to stay at a job to satisfy customers. It's different w/o her. 1/11/23 B-Thrifty does 50% off even less. They haven't done 50% off since 12/11/22 & 12/12/22. I wish that they'd do 50% off once a week again. Edit: 09/1/24 The aisles are too small, and the carts are too big for more than 1 person to fit down the aisle at the same time. When I'm being checked out, I find it very annoying when the employees talk to each other & not to the customer. I'm not saying for the employees not to talk to each other at all but have consideration to the customer & don't be rude Converse with customers to a certain degree. B-thrifty employees do it ALL OF THE TIME! EDIT 6/29/25: There was a male employee who overcharged my mother because he hit the wrong price selection on more than 1 item, so be careful & pay attention to your receipt before you leave B-thrifty. There is 1 female cashier who got an attitude with my mother & I for NO REASON AT ALL. I wish that B-thrifty would have 4 to 6 self checkout registers like Savers & 2nd Avenue. I like checking myself out & not having to deal with employees, especially when bthrifty has new employees. I shopped at B-thrifty on 6/15/25 & checked out with a new employee. I only found 2 things to buy & the cashier asked, is this all? I always put everything I buy on the counter at once. I find that really annoying. Things like that happen every time with new employees. 9/29/25: B-thrifty has extended the work area for the employees. I assume & understand that the employees need more room for all of the donations BUT they're making the already squishy store squishier. B-Thrifty needs to organize better & make the store less squishy. They have less furniture & the lamps are in a weird area also. I don't like the way they...
Read moreI go thrifting A LOT and have done so for years in various states.
B-Thrifty is solid for the most part. Prices tend to be a little higher than what I’d expect but I usually find one or two good gems (also most thrift stores have seen increases in their prices with thrifting becoming more and more popular to fast fashion alternatives). They do have various days where they do color sales as well as half off on federal holidays. I’ve never had an issue getting a discount if there was one that applied to my purchases.
The layout is a little confusing but not difficult to navigate. Housewares are on the far left, the front middle and front right women’s with men’s being behind it and the far right is your accessories wall.
Quality of items varies. I don’t mind the prices as when I do find something nice, it’s either a good brand/good vintage and in good or excellent condition. Men’s is always tough when it comes to thrifting but the tops here are good, as well as jackets (which are definitely expensive but for brands like Columbia and Northface you’re still getting a steep discount so it’s all relative if you know what you’re looking at/for). They also have a lot of men’s shoes though I’ve never had any luck with sizing.
Women’s is quite extensive but I haven’t spent much time in there. Women’s sweaters however have a lot of good items, and same for their jackets.
Housewares is a toss up. You might find some gems but overall it seems VERY overpriced for what they have.
Customer service is fine. I’ve found some amazing finds at other places with truly awful service, so that’s not always the best judgment for a thrift shop. That being said, a lot of the workers seem to be young and this is probably just a job for them so the service is usually lackluster but never any issues and the store isn’t a mess so someone’s job is being done clearly.
All in all, don’t go expecting a huge haul, but definitely worth a visit and you will most likely walk away with at least one or two...
Read moreOverall the thrift store is great for casual clothing, toys, and decor. There are many vendors within the store that have both practical and unique products and services.
Unfortunately, after trying to inquire for a while regarding leasing options, I found the B-Thrifty customer service experience to be lacking and quite offensive.
My first attempt was in 2023, but my two voicemails went unanswered. My second attempt was yesterday and I was asked what type of businesses do I operate, and then told I would be called back.
Today, I was told my business would not be able to discuss leasing options because there is an existing business in the same location. My issue is that I've visited this other business, as a customer more than once, and this business does not offer nor sell the same services as me - when I brought this to the woman on the phone's attention, she said sorry but her manager said no.
This other business and I are in the same industry, but we would not be competitors as I sell nothing that the man sells!
There are several different clothing vendors, a couple of jewelry vendors, etc. that are in fact in the same industry. I was simply turned away with that vague discussion, so I'm super disappointed.
I would've loved to...
