I was referred to the store by Dick‘s, because the bike I was looking for they did not have, however their "sister store", did have the bike in stock. Upon my arrival, the bike was set aside for me thanks to Dick’s calling and giving them a heads up.. at that time the purchase was swift and they matched the Dicks price.
However, the first time I rode the bike ride, I noticed there was problem with the gears and the following day I brought the bike back to Public Lands, expressed the problem and was told there would be a charge for fixing it. At that point, I was extremely unsatisfied and asked to speak with a manager. After speaking with the manager (Kim) She offered to repair it at no cost, which was fine with me because that’s all I wanted; considering the bike broke before I had a chance to enjoy it.
I was told the repair would take a week and today is day 7, and I have yet to hear from Public Lands. I understand the part needed to be ordered (before the repair could take place), so the time frame is understandable. Currently, I have a mixed opinion regarding Public Lands. Their customer service initially was fantastic. And as long as they follow through with what I was told...It will remain exceptional.
With that said, The quality of the bike I am unsure of. Per Public's staff members, The broken part of the bike could only occur with some sort of force, (i.e. throwing on the ground, etc.) Since I know that (or any forceful action) did not occur, I question the bikes quality.

Read moreStore just opened near me. I was looking for specific kayak. Public Lands was advertising them everywhere as being on sale. So I called the new local store. They had 3 in stock, so I drove over. None. So I asked how long to get them in. Never. They will not sell and ship to the store. What kind of 3rd rate company won't even ship to their own store??? So I asked how much to ship to home. $400 shipping for a $350 canoe. Lets see.....they advertise stuff they don't have----And Are Not Even Willing To Get For You---- and when you talk with them on they phone they don't know what they are talking about! I've been there once. I see no reason to ever return. BTY. The 10% coupon they give you for signing up for text messages is kind of worthless if they won't sell you what you want -- but they are still...
Read moreThis place will go out of business eventually just like Duluth Trading up the street. Both stores are absolutely ghost towns on a Saturday. It's Woodbury not Jackson Hole. Faherty is a great brand but who hikes and camps in a $175 flannel? LOL Posers! It's bad enough Patagonia is now worn by every C suite boardroom executive who's most likely never stepped foot in the wilderness. Sad to see Ten Thousand sold out. Cool brand but now everyone and their brother is going to be a tacticool sleeve tatted tough guy lol! And no, just because you are paying more does not mean you get better quality. There is a point of diminishing returns. Polyester is polyester no matter how you "spin it". ALL that stuff is made from "plastic". They should have balanced what they carry with brands like Filson. Filson is still...
