For more than 20 years I've had a great provider, Lynne, but that is the only good thing I can say about this clinic. At one time, our whole family went to her. Any time she is out of the office though, it is impossible to get timely appointments, medication refills or any kind of decent care. They have missed critical labs results, made errors in medication refills, and have horrible doctor coverage any time my PCP is out. I spent a weekend with strep throat and no antibiotics even though they had results from the lab, an "oversight". Messages sent through your "private" chart are both monitored and used for non - HIPPA allowed purposes. Their office is an infection control concern. With Covid-19, all of these issues have gotten worse. Today, I had another disappointing but very familiar experience with them, and I decided it was time to go public. As anyone can see, this is my second Google review. I am sure an attempt will be made to censor this review by the UW if they can. I will be "invited" to find a new PCP, which I have been needing to do for far too long. I challenge the UW clinic to leave this posted. It is not malicious; it is a simply honest and in some ways balanced review. If I could clone my PCP and put her anywhere else, I would go with her. Anyone searching for a new clinic, I suggest you pass by quickly and keep looking...and they cherry pick ratings on their website.
12/3/21 - Well, I should have read my own review and taken my own advice. They have taken disappointment to a whole new level. My amazing PCP is no longer worth enduring the cluster of nonsense. They do not take the time to ask what you need. They simply assume they know and tell you what they have figured out...even it it isn't true. Case and point, a prescription for non-narcotic medication is due for refill. It is being used to help with pain for a surgery coming up and is part of my PCPs plan. She is out on Fridays. The covering provider, Dr Debelack, who is consistently problematic, declines to fill it. I write a note pointing out it is routine, non-narcotic, on time and necessary, and asked why. Manager Katie writes to me saying "Well, the medication was requested twice so it was legitimately denied by the provider". The medication was requested twice, but only after they denied it the first time. I had to request it a second time later, from my PCP for Monday, because their covering doctor said no. If the manager had taken two minutes to ask what she could do instead of assuming I'm a sheep and telling me what her amazing powers found, we might have solved a problem and I would not be writing this update. Again, truthful, not at all inappropriate, and quite likely to get me the overdue...
Read moreRated this 5 star so people can actually see this review. Took my sister here today, staff wasn’t as friendly. Quite surprising that this is UW. My family and I have a primary doctor and nurses that gave excellent services throughout being under the UW care for several years now. The medical assistant (Joanna, or Joan?)not sure what her name was because she didn’t even introduce her self well enough for the patient to remember. As we wait to be called, she just looked at the papers of the other patient next to us and my sister. She didn’t acknowledge the name of the patient who she will be assisting and that is quite odd. I find that very unprofessional. Also, she gave a rude and snob attidtude, not sure why she even slammed the door after she did all the protocols. Also, she didn’t even warn that her swabbing procedure for my sister’s strep throat testing was going to be a bit uncomfortable and painful. As a person who works in the medical field myself and pursuing to be a doctor, I find her service very unprofessional. As a medical assistant, you are the first person to suppose to give GENUINE CARE because you are seeing a person who needs an urgent care. You should be a little kind in approaching the sick patient, I get it that the patient is maybe contagious but behind your mask I can see your attitude and disingenuous. This goes to the doctor too. Quite sad that the doctor has the same attitude, but at least he accommodated very straight forward. For the front desk, you’ll be disappointed at lack of welcominh . Not even “hello how are you” or “bye take care “.
Overall, the staff members at this UW location is unwelcoming and unprofessional.
Don’t expect to get genuine care service especially at the time you are...
Read moreWent in for a tooth referral and as I’m trying to explain to the doctor she said that I’d have to go through their oral surgeon dept. but I tried to explain the problems I was having to go through that process and she told me kinda rudely” that’s how we do it here” I asked well I had read that severe tooth problems can cause heart issues she said “yep it can and once you have a heart issue then we can work on that problem but as for now there’s nothing they can do for me” I started trying to talk to her and she cut me off and said “ that’s all” and walked out of the room and I was just left sitting there, so I guess my appointment was over. It took maybe five minutes and she was very rude to me. I’m really confused and it seemed that preventive heath care was not something that they wanted to talk to me about. This is my primary care physicians office but I really don’t think they cared much about my problem and just wanted the money from insurance for a five minute conversation and I’m sure my insurance payed for a full visit. Seems like they just wanted the money and didn’t care about anything else, I’ll need to go to my insurance and see what other primary physicians I can see that they will cover. It’s sad because they have been my primary care doctors for over 15 years but obviously it’s all changed and they do things a different way. Just sad that it’s come to this. The doctors name was Delilah K Strother so if you end up seeing her I’d ask for another doctor, she’s a pretty cold...
