Beall Car Wash changed hands this year and upon doing so some very good changes have been taking place. First of all I have had nothing but a great experience with the people that are employed here. The new owners, specifically Becky, have been taking the time to actually fix things rather than patching them up and praying that they hold up for yet another day. Another recent change was made in the wash that has improved the overall quality of the wash. Previously when the cars would come out of the wash there was always an excessive amount of water on the vehicle because the speed of the car wash was turned up so high that the chemicals as well as the drawing never really had a chance to do their job. This was because the previous owner didn't care about quality but was all about pushing as many cars through the wash as he possibly could. The top roller brush for a very long time was not getting any type of soap on it and this was recently fixed by Bobby. They have taken the time to start fixing things in this car wash that needed to be taken care of previously and were ignored in favor of profit. I have given some suggestions on things that could vastly improve not only the Car Wash but the business in general. I have experience working in a car wash and I know what a tough job it is and I know how ungrateful many customers are and how they treat people that work at places like this because at one time I had to deal with angry and difficult customers who would leave their vehicles in terrible shape and expect Car Wash workers to somehow work a miracle on their trashed vehicles. The new owners deserve credit for taking the time to invest in fixing things in the car wash properly and by allowing the managers to do their job. They have gotten rid of bad employees that have made customers more frustrated because they are lazy and don't do their jobs correctly. They are currently seeking more employees because like many businesses they have been short-staffed. Rather than keeping bad stuff they have operated at a deficit on employees which has made all of their jobs a little bit more difficult but has caused less frustration for customers and improve the overall quality of work coming out of this car wash. I am hoping that by continuing to support this local business that they will be able to continue to make improvements because in 3 years that I have been going here this year has been the best so far. They have always done an outstanding job on my vehicle both inside and out. They know that I keep my car Immaculate to make it easy for them to be able to do their job. I always take the time to interact with the employees because I know that they are working very hard and are appreciated very little by many people. Unfortunately, I had to leave. After running my new vehicle through the wash about 2-3 times a month, for a year, it was so scratched up, I spent a full day buffing the paint to get rid of the scratches and marring left behind.
I appreciate that any car wash that “touches” the car is going to leave at least some marring behind. I get it. What was left here is just too much to accept. It took an extra cut pad, ultra cut compound, and a lot of time to get it to 90% of what it was. See the photos.
It’s likely a product of not spraying down the foam rollers, more frequently, to get rid of the dirt from the cars going through.
