I tried another time to give the Macy’s in Evergreen another chance for a store pick up order. What a mistake! I ordered two pair of leather gloves online on Saturday. Items were to be ready before 3pm next day. I didn’t receive confirmation email that the order was received so I looked on the Macys app and it showed the items processing. It was getting late on Sunday so I called the store to get an update. I explained to The RUDE associate that my order status was still processing she told me that they are busy and I might get my order and I might not. I asked why is that and she said they’re busy. Again I looked on the app to see if the status changed and it changed to items cancelled. I called customer service explaining the situation. Customer service stated in the notes that the store tried contacting me and I was unavailable to pick up the items and another note stated the items were not in stock. Crazy thing is as I was on the phone with customer service I tried reordering the gloves for pick up at the Evergreen store and guess what? The items were available for pickup next day. I believe the RUDE associate cancelled my order. It’s ok because I reordered the items to be picked up at the Orland store. As usual I never have an issue with the Orland Park Macy.
Older review below: Placed online order for two items. Picked up one order when it was ready. Got an email days later stating the second item was ready for pickup. Go to store around 5:40 pm for curbside pickup and link to alert store I was ready for pickup stated my second item had been picked up. Called the store, was put on hold for over 20 mins to speak to a manager. No one came to phone so I left because I had an appt. After my appt I went back to store, called and spoke to two different women both telling me different things. One said it was cancelled, the other one said she will take my info and they would look for package, will call me to come back when they find it. I’m past irritated at that point! Called Macys customer service and was told the item is in the store and ready for pickup. I told the rep to cancel the order because I wasn’t making a third trip back to the store. Going forward I will bypass this Macys and drive all the way to Orland Park if I have to purchase anything or do store pickup. Customer service is horrible at...
Read moreCame here like 2 weeks ago, and found some cute things for a bargain BUT the staff were I horrible. So here’s what happened.. I’m at the check out line already (on the second floor) and there’s literally no one behind me, it was just me and my mother. And there were like 2 cashiers, in total of 4 staff (3girls and a guy) behind the counter have this in mind. and they just kept looking at us so I decided to wait for the cashier to tell us to come up. And the guy saw us waiting for the girl to help us and he told her “go help them they are waiting.” And the girl said and I quote “I’m not gonna help them, they don’t need help, look at them” and all the other staff were ignoring us. So I gave the girl a look like “are you serious??” And I don’t know if me making a face made her help us immediately afterwards? Then she tells me “oh, I was making y’all wait because I needed to see if the computer was working in order to help y’all” and in my head I was like so you’re going to belittle your customers for simple service?? And then she proceeded to ask me “does your mother understand?? And asked her “do you understand (in a demeaning tone) to my mother.. and to think she would imply she doesn’t understand English when she was just talking to her in English.. from one minority to another is just disappointing..she said “That I wasn’t doing it on purpose” and again I thought that’s a funny way to do/say things.. then I started to pull out my phone and was writing a review of the place and ig the cashier saw and started to act really nice and compliment me saying “oh you look so pretty” and I got and icky feeling because of the change of attitude.. there are some good prices but not worth the uncaring...
Read moreI started back shopping at Macy's about a year ago. I have found nice deals during their sales, mainly Backstage. Some of the employees are helpful, but sometimes it's hard to receive assistance in the shoe department.(Evergreen Park location) The issue I had was purchasing items online and returning them to the store for a different sizes. I had to get a refund and then repurchase. I didn't understand this if the item was in the store, but if not ok. Anyway, I realized within about 15-20 minutes I had a Macy's gift card. I went back to the cashiers to see if I could use it. I thought it could somehow be applied if the order was canceled and redone. It wasn't that easy. I was told to wait until I receive the items, return to the store, get a refund and have the transaction redone by repurchasing. I understand it was my error in forgetting, but it happens. I decided to call customer service and spoke with a representative. She suggested the same thing or buy the pants again online to apply the giftcard. Meaning, I would have 2 purchases. How inconvenient is that for a customer? Let me not forget I was told to talk to a manager upon returning to the store. I'm glad for those who've had better experiences to give 4...
