The manager Joe hung up on me in the middle of a call and kept talking over me. I returned a battery. Somehow, they could take the money off my LMCU card to let me purchase it, but couldnt refund it back on the card. They didnt mention a cash refund at the time, they said i could only receive it by check. They said it should arrive in 5-7 business days. It did not arrive. I found out he never sent the check when he left a voicemail a week and a half later saying he now has enough money in the drawer to issue a cash refund and i can come in that day, wasnt going to happen, i work thirds and did not hear it till later that night when they were closed, and i shouldn't have to wait around for them to have enough money in the drawer anyway. And what happened to the check? He was supposed to send out a check the day i returned it and said if he doesnt hear from me that day he wont be giving cash back. So he completely forgot to send me my money. Its been almost a month now and has the nerve to talk over me and then hang up on me. Poor customer service, poor store policy. Its not my fault you cant issue a refund on a LMCU card, and honestly if you have to short the drawer to make it right you should be able to. The customer shouldnt have to take the loss. And i shouldnt have to deal with disrespect when i patiently waited for a check that did not arrive or get sent out when it was supposed to. I will be talking to a higher up about him. Employee John (Jon?) is a nice guy, he helped me trouble shoot my battery and charger, manager joe needs to take some tips from him on customer service.
Joe kept arguing that the drawer has to have a certain amount in it to issue a cash refund, thats fine, its company policy he cant change it, what i was arguing (but couldnt get it out because he kept talking over me about the drawer over and over and then hung up on me) was he should of told me he didnt send out the check, he told me he did the day i returned it, but he lied. So i waited around for a check for almost a month for no reason, and because of bad customer service. I went to a different Batteries+ store and got my cash refund where they can handle basic...
Read moreI had a repair done on the charging port to my phone. When I walked in to drop it off, the employee who checked it in asked what was wrong and I explained that I had two chargers for the phone; one needed to be held a certain way to get a connection at all and the other said there was a connection but the battery percentage would still be dropping. The employee agreed and said it's probably the port and said they'd look at it and had me sign paperwork and I was off. I came back to pick up my phone when I was told the port was changed, but they ended up shattering my screen in the process and replaced it free of charge. I go home and try my two chargers and have the same exact issues(now I know it's the chargers that were bad, not my port). I went in the very next day and explained that I was having the same issues to the employee who physically worked on my phone. I told him I understood I signed paperwork and I can't get a refund or make any changes but I wanted to know if he even tested my old charging port with any chargers to see if it was the port that was even bad. His response was,"No... but I just worked on it and they guy that checked you in just handed it to me and said go ahead and work on it." He said I can come back and speak with the employee who initially helped me and see if I could get a partial refund but I didn't bother. What's frustrating is that if I take my car in to a mechanic and say,"My check engine light is on and my car doesn't start every time, I think it's the starter." they're not going to just go in and replace the starter and call it good. They're going to figure out what the problem is and go from there. I wasn't the expert here that's why I took my phone to these people expecting them to do the same and instead they weren't worried about my best interest as a customer, they were worried about getting that repair in and taking my money. These guys obviously don't even care about their coworkers since one of them threw the other under the bus when speaking with me. These people are obviously either lazy or don't think about what they're doing before they do it and I would not trust this place...
Read moreInitial review: Efficient and wonderful service. Had my iPhone battery replaced here. Much easier, quicker, and cheaper than trying to have done at the apple store!
Update: The first battery started to fail in less than 6 months. They did replace it for free. The second battery started to fail in the same amount of time, but I thought what's the point of replacing it again when the particular brand used (not apple) doesn't seem to last? The phone then completely died and wouldn't take a charge at all, less than a year after the second battery was placed. And because I didn’t get it serviced at an Apple certified repair place, the Apple tech we took it to afterward said the water tight seal had been compromised and so he couldn’t guarantee a new battery would fix the phone since there was possible water damage. Long story short, you’re best off taking it to Apple to replace the battery. I'm quite certain the phone would still be working if I'd have done that. ;(
(This happened a year ago. I was delayed in posting an update. I do not mean to be negative about the service I received at batteries plus. The service was fine. I just think it's important for others to realize that it's not going to be the same level results you get from getting a genuine apple battery replacement. And maybe genuine apple batteries are now carried at batteries plus, so this...
