The number of stars doesn't reflect the quality of food but rather the service. I don't know her name but the shorter gal, dark hair, with glasses should really be reevaluated as your store manager. I placed an order online for a whole #14. I thought I ordered it cold but oops, I ordered rogue. So after getting to the store and realizing MY error I took the sandwich and left. Got all the way to work and my sandwich was not a #14 but something with ham, capicola, and salami. I got back to the store and waiting at the register and upon setting my sandwich down I was told "you ordered a rogue, that's what we made and gave you." I told this pleasant lady that would have been fine had this order even been made correctly in the first place. I handed her my receipt from my email and just kindly asked for it to be remade. She took the paper and went to the back, she came back and said we'll get it done asap. Cool. Then she hands me a half sandwich with bacon and spinach. I calmly told her this was still not my order. She proceeded to tell me that's what the receipt said and that "I don't know what to tell you". I asked her how it even made sense that I left once with a whole sub, came back with a whole sub and I'm now being given a half? I told her my name was Nikki Wilson NOT Nikki Rengal which is the receipt she had.She then proceeded to blame the machine for printing the wrong receipt. She told me she would remake it in a minuet. I told her to just issue me a refund as I no longer wanted the sandwich or her attitude. For whatever reason she started pointing her finger at a piece of paper stating I don't issues refunds.. So while she was remaking my food I looked this yellow paper from top to bottom and it only states no cash refunds on gift cards. So I once again asked for a refund. She proceeded to tell me I was causing a scene and that she only gives refunds after talking to the owner...... This doesn't even make any sense to me.. If you have cameras I would highly encourage you to view them and ask her at what point I caused a scene. End of the day I'm grateful you have...
Read moreEat here frequently as an alternative close to work. I had rated this 5/5 in the past but some of the newer employees lack the consistency frequent customers are used to. Having soups put away at 7 PM, acting annoyed when asking for more than 2 veggies, and cutting corners on the amount of meat by spreading it out to cut less are just a few of the issues. It may just be a change in policy in the last few months (perhaps to combat food price increases) just as they changed chopping up their peppers (due to the sheer amount of business vs the extra time it takes for employees to have to cut them up I was told) but it saddens me to know I sang the praises of this place to my friends and family, usually pointing out how much more sub meat you get compared to other nearby locations like Subway when people complain about the 9 or 10 dollar price tag on the subs they prefer.
I would still recommend Boardwalk over Subway, but lately I drive the extra distance to try another locally owned sub place up the road, as they are a bit cheaper and push subs of similar quality (but still at a cheaper price). Once in a while I still hit up Boardwalk to see if the quality has recouped, hoping for the subs I used to rate a 5/5.
PS I recommend the Chipotle sauce! It is...
Read moreWhat an ugly experience. Do yourself a favor and stay away from their catering/party subs. Staff is rude and the food is mediocre at best...barely any meat! Ordered three party subs for a family lunch gathering. We were "accidentally" overcharged by more than $78 on the subs and when I questioned why the price was so different than what we were quoted over the phone, the cashier rudely told me that what we were charged was accurate. I was in a hurry to get the food back home with guests arriving so I didn't stay to argue...I just paid and left. When I had a chance to review the bill I realized they not only overcharged for the subs but also tacked on a 15% gratuity....for doing nothing. They provided no service to deserve a tip and they certainly didn't tell me about the gratuity when they quoted me the price for the subs, but additionally charged me tax on the gratuity. I ended up speaking directly to the owner who argued with me about gratuity and could care less that his team screwed up our order three times and were consistently rude. He reimbursed $47 of the $78 and would not take responsibility for misquoting me. Terrible customer service...even from the owner! ...
