Okay, let me start off by saying that my initial experience with Chick-fil-A was in the south. In fact, I've been to the original several times. That being said, I think I am rating this Chick-fil-A compared to other Chick-fil-A locations and their national reputation.
The food is always good, obviously a huge win for a business that sells food, right? Their customer service is top notch and I love that almost everyone has adopted the company's " it's my pleasure" attitude and verbiage. I was even impressed by the changes that they've made to speed up the drive thru.
(Side note: Apparently when the person is taking your order you are supposed to keep your vehicle still for safety reasons. It probably says that very prominently somewhere and I was just oblivious but I appreciate the order taking employee respectfully letting me know! 😊)
You can hear the "but" coming, right? But, our order keeps coming out wrong...and, because they are so freaking busy, I scurry out of the way to let the people behind me through. (I know, not checking the order is on me, but I don't think many people would want to sit there and hold up the line.)
It's goofy stuff that's messed up, too. Today I ordered 3 LARGE drinks: a Coke, a Diet Coke and a Diet Dr. Pepper. I received: a LARGE Coke, a MEDIUM Diet Coke and a Large DIET COKE. Not the end of the world, but annoying. I ordered 2 large fries and a salad and received a large & a medium, the salad was fine.
Clearly nothing here is life or death but it's aggravating, especially since you can't really do anything about it. What are you going to do? Go back and sit in the drive thru line & let other stuff get cold? Walk up to the drive thru workers, freak them out & risk getting hit by a car? (I know you are saying something like "get out of your car and go inside" but, to the best of my knowledge, that still isn't an option. Thank you, Whitmer)
Compared to any other fast food in the area, they're probably an extra star ahead. I love Chick-fil-A, I've loved them for many, many years, well before they came to Michigan and never, literally NEVER had my order messed up, even a little. I'm being serious. People who have grown up with Chick-fil-A will understand exactly what I'm saying. When I found out that CFA was coming to Michigan, I was so excited! I bragged and bragged about Chick-fil-A and how awesome they were and how they ALWAYS got the order correct and were polite and professional! It pains me to leave a 4-star review, but I know, deep down in my heart, Mr. STC would appreciate my honesty.
I still love you, Chick-fil-A. Just give me my dang Diet Dr. Pepper and we can be...
Read moreI was quite disappointed today.
As almost always the classic chicken sandwich was very good flavor wise. Although it seems like every time I go here the plank gets thinner and smaller.
But having found out recently I am diabetic and my cholesterol is quite high. I was hoping to try the grilled chicken sandwich but after finding out it was around1$ more than the classic I said no thanks.(I even removed everything but the chicken to compare.) Which is kind of sad that if you want to eat a little healthier they just gouge you hard. You would think the grilled would be cheaper as it has less ingredients. A little seasoning slap it in a clamshell grill easy least.
I also decided to try the chicken nuggets which are really over priced for what you get. I ordered the 4 piece for 2 dollars and when I got home I was amazed at how small they are. Any other restaurant would call these popcorn chicken and give you around 8-10 for 2$. It would take 2-3 pieces just to equal a single nugget from McDonald's.
The only locations in town are quite far away so it will definitely be a while before I go again.
P.S. I also found it odd that if you add lettuce and tomato to the classic sandwich it is 4.29 but if you order the "deluxe" they want 4.59. For the exact same toppings. Try it yourself in the app. That seems a little shady to me. I didn't compare any other items but if they try to sneakily over...
Read moreAmazing. This review is for the Chick-fil-A in Holland Michigan that opened in January of 2018. I was there with my wife, daughter, and granddaughter, mid afternoon on February 16th, a Friday. The food and the service were amazing, especially considering that we normally think of Chick-fil-A as a fast food restaurant. In this instance the place was filled to capacity nearly the entire time we were there. Apparently local high schools had just released for the day, because half the clientele was high school age. After a brief time in a line that move swiftly, our service at the counter was quick and efficient. All of the food was excellent, and between the four of us we ate salads, sandwiches, and soups. While we were eating a very pleasant lady in a Chick-fil-A uniform came by our table and inquired after the quality of everything. She offered to refresh our drinks, which she did at no charge. This was an event I had never experienced in a fast food type restaurant. All in all an amazing experience, in a bright, clean restaurant, with service provided by people who appeared to be genuinely concerned with the welfare and interests of their customers. ...
