I would give this location 0 stars if it were possible. I went into this location on Friday evening right. My friend and I had went there to buy some spongy contact paper. While my friend was looking at the paper, I realized i had to use the restroom so I went to the front of the store to do so. I am not familiar with that locations o I had asked the u-scan lady where it was and she rudely pointed and said right there. While in there I saw 2 stalls that had vomit all over the toilets and floor, I also saw tampon applicators on the floor. Then I saw that there was something that looked like feces in the sink. I left the bathroom and met back up with my friend. We then waited in the u-scan line to checkout and her dual roll of contact paper did not have a barcode or price on it so we pressed the help button. The lady who was working then came over and told us that there was nobody working that could help so one of us had to go back to grab another one with a price. The mejer employee then took the dual roll and left. My friend went back there to grab one with a bar code. While she was walking back there she saw two Meijer employees stocking. When she came back she had a single roll because there was no other dual rolls back there. We called the same employee back to us and she then said i don't know what you want me to do about it, there's no one here that can help. So I said i don't know maybe try asking a manager maybe? She then scanned then grabbed the single roll and went to the u-scan station for employees and turned her back while on the phone. After she got off the phone she proceeded to walk to the u-scan across from us on the other side and as she was walking she said that the manager was going to call her back. Mind you, because she wasn't facing us and was walking away from us we were unable to hear what she said so we asked her what she said. She then very annoyed repeated herself and still did not come over to talk to us. We waited for a few more minutes and then decided wed just take the single roll . So since it was already rung up we then proceeded with our checkout, grabbed the single roll and my friend at that point said thank you. The lady then said very loudly DID YOU PAY FOR THAT? I then said yes, we're not going to steal it. As we walked out of the grocery side we then saw a trail of blood leading from the bathroom all the way to the parking lot. The door greeter saw it and did nothing and other customers that weren't paying attention were smearing it all over. Needless to say this was the worst experience i have ever had at Meijer and any other grocery store. It was even beyond worse of going to Wal-Mart. I will not be going back to this...
Read moreYou must constantly watch to make sure if you are getting a sale item. The pic shows that they have the wrong item in the bin that is clearly marked with the 10 for 10, 11th one free. My wife picked this up as the 11th free item, it was not on sale, it was 99 cents, but it should have been free. You have to look to make sure that it is the right item, the right size and the right flavor. You literally have to make sure the UPC number on the tag matches the one on the item. I get it some things get moved, but when you have a sale tag in front of a fully stocked item with no spaces around it where I could have just grabbed the wrong one and the sale item is nowhere in sight, it seems intentional. It has happened almost every time anyone in my family goes to any meijer. I stop before we go out the door to make sure I wasnt mischarged for any of my items, I highly suggest you do this also, this has saved me several hundred dollars a year for the last 20 years. Now about things that are on sale but out of stock. I have noticed that in the last few years items that are on sale are very often out of stock, boxed, frozen, meat, produce and deli are the most often ones. I go at all different times of day and all different days of the week. I was so tired of going for a specific item and it being out of stock I started getting up early to try to be one of the first ones when the sale starts. It didn't work....
Read moreChanging my 5 star to 1 star. Hope this is the way to get store director, Connie Searl's attention. Disappointed in the long line at customer service, but moreso extremely disappointed in the lack of response of the manager. Only 1 person helping. Called the store while waiting in line, said they would let the manager know and have someone else come. It has been 15 further minutes and no one has shown up. Over 20 minutes in line. This is the 2nd time I've attempted a return because of the long line, and have visited the store at different times of the day. A Manager, managing a store would see this line and take initiative to resolve the problem. Or at least tell the customers what was going on and appologize.
However I want to give HUGE thank you to Ana H at the customer service desk! She was efficient with my return. She apologized for the long wait, even though it wasn't her fault and she was doing the best she could.
It seems like her Manager is putting anyone working the customer service desk alone in a tough spot. I hope the manager makes it up to her so that she will stay at this store. Because it is people like Ana H that make customers want to return to shop at this store!
Would have been nice for the manager in charge to show up. Love Fred's quote next to the service desk as that has been a value that Meijer has held as part of...
