My mother and I were on our way out of town on vacation and our first stop was for breakfast. I placed my order through the Panera bread app for pick up thru the drive thru. We arrive and get in line in the drive thru. The line is not moving fast at all. We wait patiently. After thirty minutes in line we are still not to the window. My order had been ready for thirty plus minutes. I am not happy at this point. I leave the drive thru line and go inside. I explain the situation to the girl behind the counter. She calls for a manager. The manager comes from the back with an attitude. I explain that I have been waiting in line for over thirty minutes for my food. She tells me that she can't help it that she only has a couple employees and most of them are in training and they have 12 orders or more. She is not kind. She is rude. Basically making excuses. She never apologized. I told her that at this point I want fresh food because my food has been ready for over thirty minutes. She rolls her eyes and goes to the back and I can hear her ordering the employees to remake the food. They eventually bring the bag of food to me again with no apology. They never gave us the cups to get our drinks so I had to ask a young man that was not even on the clock to provide us with our cups. Very very disappointed with the service that...
Read moreI love Panera Bread, I think the manager was short staffed and doing a lot today. I could see her frustration. I order the same thing Bacon, cheese, over easy egg on a brioche bun add tomato and avocado. Simple I thought. They forgot the bacon on my sandwich so she offered to make me another one, the next sandwich had the bacon but was missing the tomato and egg. I went in cause she never came back to drive thru and I called 2 times and no answer so I knew they were busy. I go in to just get a refund cause how can you keep messing up a simple order. I go in and bring in both sandwiches that were messed up, she said can I just give you the over easy egg and tomato and I would make my own sandwich, I clearly stated “I can make it at home cheaper myself, I came to Panera and paying the extra cost so you can make it and I can just eat it. Lol she gave me a refund and apologized. She was nice but nothing was resolved, I still left hungry and discovered Chic Fil A and now I love their breakfast more so a customer was lost today. I’ve worked retail and in fast food and I understand it being busy but be effective at your job. I came back tonight after I got home to find I received the wrong salad for now the THIRD time in the last six months and do not visit here often. The drive thru is ridiculously slow... like RIDICULOUSLY slow, every time. Tonight I just had it and had to drive all the way back and sit in line to get a refund and the correct food. Next, I typically have my daughter with me and order her a small Mac n cheese. For over five dollars, I expect it to be full. NOPE.
