KIKI Restaurant BOBA Tea & Chinese & Teriyaki — Restaurant in Yakima

I really wanted to like this place. My wife and I are originally from the west side of the state. Over there, Asian foods abound. Yakima on the other hand, not so much. So we were looking for a place to get some basic Chinese food. Nothing ultra authentic. We weren’t expecting anything to blow us away. But this, this unfortunately, was straight up trash. The general tso’s was close to the worst I’ve ever had, and my wife’s sweet and sour prawns weren’t even fully cooked. They were still filled with raw batter. The soup that was complimentary, was bland as can be as well. The only remotely redeeming thing was the chow main and that was about as good as what you might get from Safeway. All this and it was 30$ and I tipped 10$ (my own fault) before trying it. Will definitely not...

We visited KIKI restaurant for our first time this evening. Everything was perfect. The moment we walked in the building, everything was nicely decorated and clean. The gentleman at the counter warmly greeted us with a smile and was very kind. We ordered a large takeout order and he offered to make me my boba tea first so I can drink it while we wait. We didn't have to wait very long. The food smelt so good in the car going home. We have had a hard time finding good fried rice and almond chicken. This is my new favorite place for those items. We arrived around 6:45 p.m. to take out dinner. It took 45 minutes for our order to be ready and there was only one other customer eating in the restaurant at the time. No rice came with the meal unless we were willing to pay extra. We ordered General Tso chicken, cashew chicken, chicken chow mein, and barbecue pork fried rice. The chow mein and rice were okay but not really very good no flavor. The general Tso chicken and cashew chicken tasted like they had been cooked in burnt oil leaving a very dark and burnt taste.
