The meal looked good but that's where it stopped. I ordered the zucchini appetizer and the Cucumber sauce was very good. For some strange reason the zucchini was the toughest chewiest zucchini I've ever had in my life. Almost like zucchini jerky. How odd as zucchini is always soft and moist. I ordered the prime rib which for some reason took forever to be served to my table. Bread and butter was supposed to be served with our meal. However it never made it to our table until long after we finished our appetizers and Caesar salads. the Caesar salads were more like a crouton salad. But I do have to say the Caesar dressing was tasty. I used to cook professionally for the Red Lion and I know prime rib is already precooked each day as well as my baked potato. Both of which were lukewarm at best. I was also shocked when my meal was placed before me when I saw what looked like a tiny little toy baked potato. I have never seen such a small baked potato in my life. Bottom line potatoes are cheap and this is not where any restaurant wants to cut corners. My potato was so small I even confronted the waiter about it and he said that's the size of potatoes they serve. Personally I would be embarrassed to serve something like that. Three or four small bites and the potato is gone. Instead of asking me what I would like on my baked potato do you can see in the picture that they simply put the butter sour cream onion chives and bacon bits all in one little cup. I sent it back because I do not eat pork . In short the atmosphere was pretty good but I will not be returning to eat here and would not recommend it. An added note the menu topped out at $100 a plate on down to $24 a plate. In my opinion these prices should commands a better quality menu...

Presentation of Food 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Overall Service 4/5 Overall Food for Group 4/5
Service: the waitress was nice and did a great job. Only reason why not 5/5 is she messed up the salad order for a gluten intolerant customer (croutons on it) but fixed it upon asking and we just had to keep asking for water.
Lobster 4/5 & Baked Potato 3/5 Lobster was too salty and wasn’t very enjoyable because of it. Wished there was more cheese and bacon on baked potato, it was mainly packed with sour cream.
Mushroom Burger 3/5 Underwhelmed. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t worth $20 There was not much flavor but it was cooked well (In-N-Out is better) very filling.
New York Steak 5/5 & Mac N Cheese 3/3 It was perfect, it was great. Cooked medium rare it was juicy and moist. Mac N Cheese wasn’t anything special, there are other places with better tasting Mac N Cheese.
Three Cheese Pasta with Grilled Chicken 5/5 It was good.
Chorizo Burger 5/5 Great! The jalapeño is spicy though
Steak Salad 5/5/ Steak was really tough but salad was good. “ Steak chewier than uncooked boba”
Lamb 5/5 It was REALLY good (shared by two people)
Bacon Cheeseburger 5/5 This person loves this burger even better than Cowiche Canyon (the mushroom burger person didn’t agree with this statement)

Read moreWe celebrated my dads 60th birthday this past weekend at the Yakima Steak Company. This was our first time visiting, we had heard great things about this restaurant so we were all pretty excited to give it a try. Yakima steak company did not disappoint! Everything was amazing! We were greeted by a friendly hostess when we arrived. She made small talk on the way to our table which was nice. Our servers name was Sunny. She was very sweet and on top of her game. We never waited long for any item we requested, our food came out in a timely manner and she also made sure to come back shortly after our food arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. For appetizers we ordered the coconut shrimp and fried oysters. I don’t like coconut but my family members who do said they were delicious. I had the oysters which came out with a wedge of lemon and a side of cocktail sauce, I was hoping for maybe a nice creamy aioli with the oysters but that’s totally preference, they were still very tasty. As for dinner, three of my family members had the steaks; two filets and a ribeye, I had the lamb and my brother had the ribs. All were delicious and cooked to perfection! The chefs definitely know what they’re doing back there!
We ordered a few desserts in addition to the surprise birthday dessert (company cookie) Sunny brought out for my dad. (This was also very sweet of her to do, and much appreciated) We enjoyed the chocolate torte and lemon cake but we all decided the warm cookie topped with vanilla bean ice cream was definitely our fave.
We absolutely enjoyed our evening and would highly recommend! Can’t wait to...
