Looking amongst the shops in Cherokee for anyone who knew about medicine or had things in their store where I could buy gifts for others proved to be an all day trek with no results. On our way back to our hotel we saw the signage for Medicine Man and I admit I doubted. The next day we went first to a shop we had seen in the window posted "going out of business." My disappointment continued so, we turned and the thought of this shop came to me so we stopped. My wife in the morning had asked about visiting the village as she felt like there we might find someone who could help and so we both, entered this shop half thinking "if this was another imported plastic store we would have to seek results elsewhere." We went in and immediately knew we were where we should be. We gathered and looked, helped by our eloquent hostess whose sincere attitude of being helpful was her only motive for being there, and gratefully paid what was asked and received more.
